This garden apartment is on a very quiet, well-maintained site, which has 2 pools and a gym (shared by other apartments) It is air-conditioned and has a double bedroom with TV and DVD player on the upper floor, with sea views from the gallery windows, and a twin bedroom on the ground floor. There is a bath, shower and toilet on the upper floor and a shower and toilet on the ground floor. Superbly equipped kitchen has full size gas cooker and hob, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer. Leather suite in living room. DVD player and TV in lounge. Dining table for 6 people. Rear terrace with garden furniture. Good beaches nearby. The apartment is available all year and has heating for winter rentals.
Immediate area: Blue Bay is on the coast near the village of Bahceli about 20 minutes drive from Kyrenia. The area is ideal for swimming, sailing, walking, bird watching, and horse riding. There is a championship golf course about 15 minutes to the West. To the east you will find wonderful sandy beaches – some of the best in the Mediterranean, e.g. Karpas beach – and traditional North Cyprus villages. Lara beach, with sunbeds, shades and a small café, is 15 minutes drive West. Alagadi, a Turtle Watch beach, is 15 minutes from Blue Bay. Acapulco, a hotel complex with all facilities including an aqua park, bars and restaurants, is about 20 mins away.
Further afield: Kyrenia is excellent for shopping for local crafts (e.g. Turkish delight and kilims) and there are lovely restaurants around the old harbour, specializing in seafood. There are many museums and castles in the area, - including an imposing castle and shipwreck museum on the harbour in Kyrenia and the beautiful Bellapais Abbey on the hill above Kyrenia with spectacular views of the coast. There are several excellent restaurants in Bellapais village, all with panoramic views. Kantara castle is a crusader fortress built into the hilltop in a stunning location with wonderful views across the island. Also worth a visit are: Famagusta (Gazimagusa) to see the Roman City of Salamis; Nicosia (Lefkosa) to see the beautiful Selimiye Mosque, and The Great Turkish Bath which dates back to the Ottoman period or walk the old streets and browse around the local craft shops.
Restaurants/shops: Nearby Bahceli is a very traditional village, with a small shop. Esentepe village, approximately 8 minutes drive away, has good restaurants with excellent food at very reasonable prices. There are other restaurants a short drive away. Emily's Bar is on site and serves good local food. There are good supermarkets close by and hypermarkets near Kyrenia. One of our favourite places to eat is the harbourside at Kyrenia - described in the guide books as "one of the most picturesque harbours in the Mediterranean". There are many restaurants here, most specialising in fish.
Most people speak English, driving is on the left, electric sockets are the same as England. You can even pay in sterling in many outlets.

Just returned from a lovely week at Blue Bay.The apartment is well equipped and we only used the comfortable upstairs bedroom as there was just the two of us.
You do need a hire car, but they are cheap and there are plenty of local good restaurants close by including one just outside the apartment complex.
Still hot in October in Cyprus but the apartment has air conditioning. All in all, a good spot for the north coast.

This is a nice spacious apartment on a small complex. The furnishings and the appliances are are of a high standard and the whole apartment has a clean modern feeling about it. It was clean on arrival. Complex is well maintained with a small gym and a good pool and childrens' pool.
Fantastic honeymoon
We stayed at Blue Bay on our honeymoon and had a lovely time. You can see the sea from the bedroom. There is a great bar at the entrance to the village and the owners are very friendly. There is so much to see in the area. The apartment is beautifully equipped. There is everything you need for a relaxing holiday.
A lovely hot holiday
I spent a lovely week at Blue Bay with my parents. We had the pool to ourselves most of the time and enjoyed using the well-equipped gym. This is excellent value as the provisions in the apartment are of a very high standard. It's quite close to good beaches but you do need a car to get around as Blue Bay is in a very secluded spot on a cliff top. A great introduction to beautiful N Cyprus. Be warned, Cyprus is very hot in July and August!
So quiet
We had a lovely holiday. Nice apartment and nice area. We had it all to ourselves. Nice to use the pool in the morning and be the only people in it! Good restaurants nearby. You do need a car though.
