The Wednesday market is great for cheap fruit, vegetables & clothing etc. The area offers the benefits of both sea & mountains so is ideal for both activity & relaxing holidays.

Adult or child, the villa, area & island of Cyprus offer all it takes to enjoy a fantastic holiday. There is a wide variety of things to entertain every member of the family in the way of great beaches, water sports, cycling or walking etc. The Malpas Hotel offers, night club, casino, Turkish baths, beauty parlour, sauna etc as does the nearby Acapulco Club wich also offers a superb beach and the largest swimming pool on the island.

The surrounding countryside offers historical sites - castles, monasteries, ruins, museums & fantastic views etc.

The new Korinium golf course is 10 mins away. Alternatively just relax by the large private pool & enjoy 330 days of sun every year.

Unlike in the south of the island and in many European holiday destinations, North Cyprus retains character and charm and a more relaxed way of life, but more than rivals them for history, activities and attractions.

Kyrenia is situated along the north coast of Turkish Cyprus. It is a busy small town with a harbour appreciated for its natural beauty. This is lined with bars and restaurants and really comes to life in the evenings.

Alagadi beach (free) and Club Acapulco are two of the top beaches in Kyrenia with facilities. These two beaches are perfect for younger travellers. However, there is a small beach club very close to Catalkoy (Shayna).

Acapulco, Malpas Hotels have a bar, restaurant and night club.

You have an excellent opportunity to find pleasant places for walking in Northern Cyprus. The Besparmak Mountains are ideal walking areas. You can go to St. Hilarion Castle and park your car there. Head west to take in the amazing views of Kyrenia. The mountains host a number of castles and ruins all well worth a look for the views alone.

Turtle beach is situated on the new coast road East of Kyrenia driving towards Esentepe. The beach is protected during the summer months between the hours of 9pm and 5am. This is because turtles come to lay their eggs on the beach area under the watchful eye of conservationists. The beach by day is excellent and used a lot by the locals. At this location is a small building called the "Turtle Project." You can go there to learn about Turtles, see videos and book in to sleep on the beach at night and watch the turtles coming to shore to lay their eggs. They lay their eggs around June and August is the hatching time.

Just 10 minutes above Kyrenia is Bellapais Abbey. Set in this fabulous location, a visit to this 14th century. The villa is the perfect location for wedding groups as the Abbey is just 10 mins away.

The fantastic new Korinium golf club is just 10 mins drive.

Night clubs and casinos are nearby and a large selection is within easy reach.

Lusignan Bellapais Abbey in North Cyprus is a must. Enclosed to the north by the sea and to the south by the greenery of the Besparmak (Five Finger) Mountain range, it offers the most magnificent scenery on the island.

Overlooking the entrance to the harbour is Kyrenia Castle. Dating from the time of the Byzantines, its massive defenses surround a complex mixture of building styles from centuries before and it is likely that there was a Roman fort here originally. Subsequently enlarged and strengthened by the Lusignans and then the Venetians, the castle is now home to many historical artifacts and is the current resting-place of the world's oldest shipwreck. It's charming and tiny harbour, full of yachts and fishing boats, is framed by the colossal hulk of its Crusader castle. With the backdrop of the jagged mountains behind and the calm sparkling sea in front, the harbour has an intoxicatingly serene atmosphere.

Kyrenia is an easy place to be any time of the day. There are lots of charming shops to explore in the harbour and in the cobbled narrow alleys surrounding it. There are markets and numerous local cafés to visit also.

As the sun sets, Kyrenia harbour again becomes the focus of activity as the locals take their evening stroll and the cafés and bistros that face the sea prepare for their nightly trade. IMPORTANT
At time of writing (30 Dec 2010) the villa is virtually finished as is the whole development of 11 exclusive villas.
We expect to complete furnishing and make ready for occupation late March and during April 2011.
As such we have every confidence that we can fulfil bookings taken after 1st June 2011.
However the lack of completion at today's date is the reason for the lack of final photos taken of both the interior and exterior of the building including the pool and terracing, and of the overall development, for which we sincerely apologise. But please take our word for it - even in this condition, the villa, development and its views are looking great and even on 30 December the weather is 20C and sunny!


NOTE: We also have available 2 great 3 bedroom apartments at Calis Beach nr Fethiye, 7 mins from sea and bars; shops etc. and at Gulluk, Bodrum Turkey, just 3 mins from sea with sea views.
Alternatively, try our modernised 3 Bedroom apartment in Montenegro for a holiday with a difference. Next to the waters edge and historic cobbled town deep in Europe's Southern most fjord yet just 17 mins from fabulous sandy beaches.
