Millwheel cottage has two bedrooms and can comfortably sleep 2 adults, 2 children and a baby. The cottage is a converted mill on a 28 acre private estate with many free facilities.
The property is a two bedroom apartment in a converted mill block. It has a private patio and garden. There is an outdoor heated pool (summer), indoor heated pool (all year), small gym, walled garden with play area, fishing lake, tennis court, table tennis, pool table and much woodland to explore safely. It is ideal for adults (two) or families with young children. Bigbury beach is eight miles away and Dartmoor national park just four miles, making it ideal for walking, beaching or relaxing. It is in easy reach of Salcombe, Kingsbridge and Dartmouth.
The cottage is all on one level. The car park space is accessed via some shallow steps (buggy friendly).
Millwheel has its own private garden with small lawn, patio, table, chairs and parasol. There is a Barbecue. Other facilities include an outdoor pool (heated in mid/high season); indoor pool (heated all year; large walled garden with play equipment. There is a Boule court, pool table as well as a tennis court, fishing Lake, and a small gym with running machine, rower, cycle and bench. There is a designated parking space.
Bigbury beach/Burgh Island is nearby and is ideal for paddling, and rock pooling. It's also popular with kite-surfers. There you can take the unique tall tractor over to the island or walk it at low tide across the causeway. Hope Cove is twelve miles away with pub, parking - a good spot to take a coastal walk from. Thurlestone national Trust beach is ten miles. Salcombe and Dartmouth are nearby and are popular towns for sailing, boat hire, shopping and the beach. Local golf clubs are popular and cottage residents access discounts.
There is a local shop (walking distance 5 mins) for groceries and local produce and a nearby pub that serves family friendly meals and has free wi-fi.
