Description
For a relaxing Scottish Highland holiday, whether you enjoy climbing, hill walking, water sports, golf, fishing, or local leisurely strolls, Killin is the village to visit, and Larachbeag is the ideal accommodation for two people who enjoy the outdoors.
Comfortable, and with an open fire to welcome you in winter or spring, Larachbeag is a ground-floor, one-bedroom cottage flat, on the main street of this picturesque village. At the west of the village, the road crosses an ancient bridge at the Falls of Dochart, stunning in full spate, and a popular place to roam across the rock slabs in warm weather when the water is low. From the village, the mountain ridge Meall nan Tarmachan can be seen, with Perthshire's highest peak, Ben Lawers, beyond. These mountains, and many of their neighbors, are easily accessed by walkers and climbers, in both winter and summer. Some lower level, less strenuous walks start from within the village. Sron a' Chlachain, a lower hill overlooking the village, is a popular walk, which starts from Breadalbane Park, in the village center. The park is also the venue for major annual events, such as the Killin Show and the Highland Games.
There are several golf courses in the area, including one in Killin, and watersport centres on Loch Earn and Loch Tay, all equally easy to reach.
Killin has many tea-shops, restaurants and hotels, offering a range of eating, from snacks and bar meals to a la carte.
Kate and Douglas Harrison will be pleased to welcome you to Larachbeag, part of a former railway building, Station Cottage. The house is ideally situated, with all the village amenities close by, within easy walking distance of the house.
Larachbeag has been modernized to a high standard, and is tastefully decorated throughout, comfortably furnished and well equipped.

Booking, payment and cancellations:
We accept payment by cheque or PayPal. Receipts will be sent when cheques have been cleared through our bank.
For a full week's stay, we ask for a deposit of £50 per week, with the balance due 21 days before the start of your stay.
If you are booking within 21 days of the start of your stay, or booking a part week only, we ask you to make payment in full at the time of booking.
We regret we cannot make refunds on bookings cancelled within 21 days of your start date, nor can we refund deposits on cancelled bookings.
