Description

As you enter Bridge House you immediately get a feeling of warmth and comfort. It is very spacious and extremely well equipped. Lots of character including original fireplaces, beamed ceilings and window shutters. There are two parking spaces. On the ground floor there is a fabulous and very well equipped dining kitchen with gas burning stove in the original inglenook fireplace, large oval dining table and eight chairs. Well fitted kitchen with halogen hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer. A separate utility room has a washing machine, dryer, iron, ironing board and plenty of coat hooks. There is one large ground floor bedroom with pine bed, wardrobe and drawers, window shutters and the original fireplace. The en-suite has a large shower cubicle, wc, wash basin and shaver point. This bedroom has been designed with the elderly and disabled in mind. The grand Georgian staircase leads to the first floor. Here the second bedroom has twin beds (again furnished in pine) and a bathroom with bath, shower cubicle, w.c, and wash basin and shaver point. The spacious lounge has three comfortable settees, marble fireplace over a black grate, t.v, video, c.d player and excellent views towards Skiddaw.
