From the South, exit J36 of the M6, follow the A590 toward Kendal. (After about 3 miles this becomes the A591) When signposted, exit on to the A6 still following signs for Kendal (South) This takes you on to Milnthorpe Rd. Continue along this road towards the town centre. As you pass the river on the right, the road becomes Kirkland and you are now on the town centre one way system. GET INTO THE RIGHT HAND LANE . At the Traffic Lights in front of the Clock Tower, you will turn Right down Lowther Street. At the bottom, continue along NEW Rd, as you pass the Church on the right hand side, there will be a Zebra Crossing on the bend. Once over the Zebra Crossing, GET INTO THE RIGHT HAND LANE IMMEDIATELY and turn Right into Stramongate. At the next Zebra Crossing the road will bend to the Right, filtering with traffic from the left. GET INTO THE LEFT HAND LANE IMMEDIATELY and after a few yards you will see small parking area on the bend directly ahead of you - PULL UP ON TO PAVEMENT IN FRONT OF BUILDING (Melrose Place) The second parking spot is allocated to 1A Lambrigg Terrace (ignore the car parked behind). Once parked, you will see the entrance to 1A Lambrigg Terrace to the left of the Melrose Place building.

Excellent modern conversion, very smart, everything we needed in the kitchen, good plumbing/heating and great location overlooking the river, castle view, and very near shopping centre.
September In Kendal at the Riverside Apartment
We were made very welcome by the owner of the apartment, Mrs. Carol Redshaw, who was there to greet us on our arrival. She had prepared a welcoming pack of tea,coffee, sugar,biscuits and even a little box of good chocolates. The apartment is furnished to a high standard and is exceptionally clean and well maintained. The location is brilliant being very close to the town centre with it's shops and restaurants but is also very tranquil being sited on the banks of the river with beautiful views across the river to parkland. We highly recommend it to fellow travellers and would certainly stay there again in the future. B, Murphy.
A wonderful stay
Have just spent 4 amazing nights in this apartment. It was exceptionally clean and well stocked with cooking equipment. The owner meets you on arrival and shows you around the apartment which was lovely. Kendal town is literally 5 minutes away and there is an incredible restaurant called the bridgestreet restaurant two minutes away which I strongly advise people try. We really couldn't have asked for more and the apartment well exceeded our expectations.
Superb!
I usually prefer 4 * hotels but this was much better. The apartment was spotless and beautifully decorated. Although almost in the centre of town it was quiet and right on the edge of the river. The owner is extremely welcoming and the gift of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits and chocolates was a wonderful touch. We will certainly stay there again.
Fantastic apartment in a great location
We stayed here for three nights and could not fault the apartment. Lovely views over the river, fully fitted kitchen and spotless to boot.
There is a car parking space for your car and you are only 2 minutes from the town centre, so car never moved for three days.
Carol, the owner met us on arrival and gave us a tour of the apartment and also left a small welcome pack, tea coffee, milk etc...
We enjoyed our stay here and will certainly return to this apartment.
Kendal Retreat
This apartment benefits from the fact that although located virtually in the town centre it is nonetheless a tranquil setting by the river, I can recommend it for a couple wishing to escape the usual hustle/bustle of a town while retaining all the convenience that proximity to a town provides. Although small it is more than adequate for a couple, and the lack of a bath is more than made up for by the multijet shower that converts the cubicle into a de facto wet room, very enjoyable. Dedicated parking and a very nice welcome made my experience of this accommodsation entirely pleasurable.
Brilliant
Really nice apartment situated right in the centre of kendal, 2 minutes walk away from a big variety of shops, yet with good road access to pretty much anywhere else. Apartment was spotless, very modern and contemporary in style with alot of features included. Would definately stay again

The accommodation is very central and only a short walk from the main shops and restaurants. The apartment is very comfortable and the owner even trimmed up for Xmas for us. On arrival we were given very good information and the parking spot was most useful! Our 2 favourite aspects of Riverside were the bathroom shower and the snowy park view across the river, you can even see the Castle from the window seats. We had a small earthquake during our stay which of course is most unusual but with extreme cold outside, the river frozen over, local lakes broken into frozen tablets and snow underfoot we can honestly say that this was a memorable and very enjoyable stay. A perfect start to our Xmas celebrations.

Kendal Retreat
No complaints whatsoever. The owner of the property was friendly and helpful which got our 3 day break off to the perfect start. Although the property is small it is extremely well appointed and is ideal for a couple looking for a base in the centre of Kendal. The apartment is well situated next to the river but is only a couple of minutes walk from all the amenities of Kendal town centre. We would thoroughly recommend this property.
Well worth a visit
1st class apartment , a minutes walk from the town centre and a mile outside the Lakes National Park. River views with nice walks, close to all amenities.
If you need a holiday home short term weekend or more it does not get any better in Kendal.

We found this apartment to be perfect,The Landlady was very helpful and pleasant,the accomodation was great,everything to hand and very comfortable,ideal location to see the sights,and there were some very nice sights.We would stay here time and time again
Wonderful Holiday
We had a fantastic time in the apartment. From meeting Carol, to departing, we had a truly wonderful holiday.
The apartment is superbly appointed, modern and in a quiet location, albeit central on the banks of the river in Kendal. As well as being accessable to all areas of the Lakes, it also provides the opportunity to have apres walking in Kendall which has several good retaurants and bars.

First class
The owner met us on arrivel and explained things we needed to know about our stay and we found her very nice, she forgot to tell us about the massage chair but that was easy,
The accommodation was first class,the view of the river Kent was nice and on the last day we saw a sammon jump up the wier. Hope to go back.
A lovely experience.
The riverside appartment was lovely, well situated and well presented. Everything you need for a stay was within easy reach, shops, walks, bars and the bus, train station. Would recommend this apartment to other couples either for a short stay or full two week holiday.

Spot On !
This apartment is exactly what it says on the tin! The apartment is very clean and modern and is equiped with everything you will need. We were not disappointed. Yes - it is fairly 'compact', but it's more than enough for a couple and makes a great base to explore Kendal and the Lake District (remember that you would simply get a 'room' at a hotel - this is WAY better). There are numerous restaurants and bars within 2 minutes walk yet you have no noise of a busy town centre. The private parking space is also a god send! Carol makes you very welcome. We would not hesitate in recommending this aprtment to anyone wanting to visit the area. "We'll be back!"
