Icarus House occupies a corner position which is ideal as there are small secluded garden areas to the side and rear, both with patios. The pool is just a few steps away, but because of the corner position if you just want a quiet drink on the patio you will not be disturbed by people using the pool. The garden areas have gates so your small children cannot wander off. There is also a roof terrace which is ideal for private sun-bathing, as adjacent properties do not have roof terraces.
Inside the house the large living room has sliding glass doors from both the lounge area and dining area, leading out to patios. The kitchen is well equipped, with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, full oven, hob, and plenty of pans, crockery and utensils, etc. There is also an ironing board and iron, plus pegs and a washing line.
It is situated on small friendly complex in a residential area of Paphos. It is within walking distance of the the tourist area of Kato Paphos where you will find a large supermarket, numerous restaurants, bars and smaller shops, as well as the harbour area with the old fort. Also within walking distance is the older part of Paphos (Pano Pafos - or Upper Paphos as it is situated on a hill). In this part of town there is a daily market, selling all sorts of things from fresh veg. to souvenirs. A bus service runs close to the house and there are several mini-supermarkets within a few minutes walk from the house. Many people have enjoyable holidays without hiring a car. Everything you need is available within walking distance, and if you fancy a change of scene you can get buses to other areas - for example Coral Bay. There are also tour operators offering various trips, but for the more independent traveler, car hire does give the chance to explore at your own pace.

Additional information about rental rates
The price above includes end of stay cleaning and laundry at £60.
For stays of two weeks or more a weekly clean and change of laundry is included. If you stay for more than one week but less than two weeks then only the end of stay clean and laundry is included, but if you want a mid-stay clean or laundry change then it can be arranged at cost.
If you want to stay for less than the minimum number of nights stated then the cost is the number of nights times the nightly rate plus £60.
A refundable deposit of £250 is required in case of damage, lost keys, etc. This is fully refundable if there are no problems.
We can offer very favourable rates for longer stays. From November to February for stays of a month or more we charge only £150 a week, but this does not include the cleaning charge which is payable on top. For example, 6 weeks during the winter period would cost 6 x £150 plus £60 = £960.

As well as plenty of beaches, Cyprus has the Troodos mountains which make a change for a day out. In Winter it is possible to ski in the mountains although the skiing area is not extensive. There is also the Akamas peninsular and the Pafos forest, with many places suitable for walking. In addition to the numerous restaurants and bars in the area, there are plenty of activities and attractions are available to visitors, various watersports, boat trips, horse riding, golf, quad-biking, paintballing, go-karting, bird and animal parks, water parks, wineries, Roman mosaics, an old fort, Tombs of the kings, monasteries, ancient sites, quaint old villages, and Nicosia, where one can cross the border into the Turkish part of Cyprus.

FROM PAPHOS AIRPORT
Turn left at the roundabout as you come out of the car park at Paphos airport and follow the road. (Sea on your right). The road will bear round to the left and come up to a T junction. Turn left at the T junction onto the B6, signposted to Pafos. Follow the road through Geriskipou, and continue until you come to a large roundabout.
At the roundabout you should see Debenhams and Next on your right and Interlife on your left. Take the first exit off the roundabout. i.e. turn left following signs to Kato Pafos and Tourist Area.
Continue past the traffic lights until you reach another roundabout. At this roundabout take the third exit (ie. turn right) onto another bit of dual carriageway. At the third set of traffic lights get into the lane for turning right (at the other two sets of traffic lights you cannot turn right, one is just a left turn and one just a pedestrian crossing). After turning right at the lights you will find yourself on a wide road (Sotiraki Markidi). (Now a dual carriageway). Pass the first turning on the left (trees in the middle of the road - Priamou) near the mini-supermarket on your right, you will then pass Amazon mini-market on your left . Take the next turning on your left (just before the road narrows and there are more trees - Elyssia Park on your right - behind you as you take the left turn.) You are now in Ptolemaidos Street. Icarus House is the first house on the right (A1), part of the Ilios 2 complex - opposite Iris Village another Pafilia development.
(On the map this appears to be Ptolemaidos Street, but I dont think theres a sign at that end of the road.). There is off road parking for one car by the house, and if you are a large party with more than one car, there is a car park behind the house for Ilios 2 users or you can just stop in the road.
We have a key safe. After the balance has been paid we will let you know the number for the safe. Please make sure you take a note of it with you, and a torch to read the numbers on the combination if you are arriving late at night.
The key does fit. Hold the door knob and pull the door towards you as you unlock it. (Then push it open.)
