The villa has the benefit of having no road to the pool side and so no traffic noise when you sunbath. If you really do feel the need to catch up on emails or make Skype phone calls internet Wi-Fi access is provided. The nearby sea front offers a number of beach clubs with water sports, cafe, restaurants plus a water taxi service to Kalkan harbour.

The masters bedroom has a super king size bed, fitted bedroom furniture and en-suite bathroom. There is access to roof terrace which has two sun recliners a table and four chairs. New for 2011 is a large sofa with built in sun-shade.

Wheelchairs not accessible. The villa is on three levels and so not suitable for the infirm.

Twenty minutes by car or local bus to the famous eighteen kilometer sandy beach at Patara renowned for the protected loggerhead turtles. Five minutes by water taxi or car to the many beach clubs dotted around Kalkan bay including Patara Prince, Villa Mahal, Palm Beach, Caretta Caretta, Yali and Kalamar Bay, all with sunbed hire and cafes.

Kalkan is a beautiful place and the villa is fabul
Enjoyed the three floor levels; pool to swim and relax, living room balcony for tea break / reading / taking in the view and top patio area in the evening catches the breeze and is great for watching the sunset. Will definitely come to Villa Samanyolu again. So much more we want to see. Golden moments for this visit would be the unspoiled beauty of Patara beach and the atmosphere of the ancient amphitheatre, and the Patara village for lunch . . . . I could go on!! Enjoy your time.

L. Bournville from Birmingham. (April 2010)

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Samanyolu.
It was very relaxing and peaceful. We ate out most nights in Kalkan and our favourites were Trio and Salt & Pepper. The boat from Kisla to Kalkan is a great way to travel and only cost 4 TL pp return (about £1.60 and the ticket is redeemable against food or drink in the Kisla beach club). We visited Patara Beach which was beautiful.. Bob's supermarket is very handy... Overall we loved the villa and the pool and 3 floors of spectacular views so much that we mainly stayed in.

Paul and Bethan. from Manchester (June. 2010)

Awonderful holiday!
We had a wonderful week here after a week at sea on a Gulet. We can recommend the gorge at Saklikent – go early if you are under your own steam – it avoids the crowds. Best restaurant 'Aubergine', pricey though. But the food was excellent.

Joe, Lynne and family. from Chester (July 2010)

Super villa, super town!
All restaurants in Kalkan are of a very high standard – you cannot go far wrong. Boat trips from Kalkan harbour seem great all-day value (35 TL) per person and its cooler out on the water. The water taxi from Kisla beach is great value. Enjoy yourselves as much as we have – it is a terrific place.

Mike, Jill and Nathan from Worcs (Aug 2010)

Kalkan is beautiful.
We have had a lovely 2 weeks in this beautiful town and lovely villa. Kaputas beach is a fantastic view and picture opportunity – just remember to take some drinks with you. Bob's supermarket is good for basic essentials... What a truly fantastic holiday.

A fabulous time at Kalkan
We had a fabulous time at Kalkan; the villa was perfect, blue skies everyday, everything went like clockwork

Ian, Clair and Family from Worcester (August 2011)

The villa was everything we could have hoped for!
We returned home this morning, having had just the most fantastic time in Kalkan and Villa Samanyolu. Thank you so much for allowing us to use your beautiful villa. We can totally understand why you fell in love with Kalkan and the Turkish people and we really hope to be able to return to Turkey again soon. The villa was everything we could have hoped for, being spacious, luxurious and within close proximity to the beach club and the Kalkan water taxi, and at the end of a hard day out soaking up the sun and sea it was a delight to return 'home'! We are certainly going to find this week extremely hard as we all return to our normal daily chores! Once again, very many thanks,

Simon, Joey, Jack & Tom from Unknown (July 2011)

A lovely Turkish home
Well, we absolutely loved the villa…. Everything about it was wonderful, from the light fresh décor to the magnificent views. We thought that the whole house felt lovely and spacious with plenty of storage space, really comfortable beds, gorgeously finished en-suites, plenty of seating, (particularly on the outside terraces), and the gas barbeque was super. (I promise, we did leave it clean.) The salt pool was fantastic. No horrible chemicals to irritate our skin. We particularly liked the large steps that led into the swimming pool. When it became too hot to sit and read, we sat and read on the top step so that the water kept us cool. Simply brilliant! We all appreciated having such lovely white towels and the pool towels were a real boon. Well, as we predicted from everything we had read, we did fall in love with Kalkan. It certainly has a charm and special ambience all of its own. The people in general were all lovely, happy and always polite. It made such a nice change from some of the other holiday resorts that we have previously visited in Turkey where you are constantly badgered by people dragging you into shops and restaurants. We hired a car for the fortnight and it did come in very useful for popping in to town and doing some sightseeing. During our stay we visited Kas, Patara, Fethyie, Olu Deniz and Islamlar, and had an amazing time at each and every one of them. We also had a great day out on the Kalkan boat trip and we had hoped to do a fishing trip but the water was too choppy each time we were due to go so the captain had to cancel it. We found a good English breakfast right at the end of the harbour near the beach. 16 TL including fresh orange juice and tea or coffee, very handy if we were going out for the day. The other restaurants that we enjoyed were The Olive Garden, Gironda and Mahmuts Restaurant in Islamla village, where we stopped and had a trout for lunch on our last full day. It really was delicious and the gorgeous view of the sea from the restaurant terrace was a wonderful bonus. Well, I would just like to thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful villa and hope that we will be able to stay again sometime in the future. We would have liked to stay again this September but the period we were looking for was not available so we have had to book another villa. We can only hope that it will offer the same comfort and relaxation that we enjoyed at your villa. . . . You certainly do have a lovely Turkish home and we sincerely hope that you continue to share its joys with lots of other people for many years to come.
