Uzumlu, Kalkan is set on the edge of a mountain 6kms from Kalkan Town. The scenery is amazing. 'Uzum' means grapes in Turkish and you will see grapevines everywhere. That's just for starters when you decide to go and stay at the Akland Villa. A holiday offering the best of both worlds, it is close to the town centre but offering private, peaceful accommodation. Now you can do all the shopping you want without sacrificing the peace and quiet that you are looking for when on a vacation. Ideal for families and group bookings, the villa offers plenty of sleeps (up to 8 people). Four bedrooms are furnished so that visitors can have a relaxing rest. Ample space for children to play and explore makes sure that the little ones don't get bored while on vacation.
Some of the activities that can be enjoyed here include watersports like diving and surfing. Visitors can also take advantage of the large pool located at the villa. The place is also great for walking, rural or countryside retreats, beach and lakeside relaxation, or a winter sunbreak. Whatever the visitors' demands are, the villa can give. There are also stunning views out to Patara Beach and across to Letoon. Private spacious gardens are a plenty, and large grassed areas are available to be used as tennis or football courts.
Luxuries in the villa include a jacuzzi and hot tub. Bedrooms with en suites also treat our visitors with the luxury they deserve. Plenty of appliances are available for use such as clothes dryers, dishwasher, cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, and washing machine. This ensures the visitors' hassle-free vacation.

Reviews
Promised the earth...
This villa promised the earth but sadly we left finding the whole experience rather disappointing. Getting to Uzumlu is not easy and it is a long 6kms out of Kalkan. The centre of Kalkan, which is quite someway further, is a lovely place and there are some great places to eat and plenty to do. Beaches are in abundance and rather beautiful too -the sea is crystal clear. Sadly, the main beach of Patara is not 5 minutes away - I would challenge anyone to drive 20kms in that time on the winding mountain roads.
The views from the villa, whilst not breathtaking, are pleasant and one looks over the valley onto the polytunnels of Kinik and out to the coast at Letoon and the setting sun. The pool is huge, there is no mistaking that but those with small children should be aware that the shallow end is very deep indeed.
We had a lovely time in Kalkan it is just a shame that for a families we could not recommend this place. It would be ideal for stag or hen parties who wish to get away from it all.
