Manor Farm Cottage is a tranquil 150 year old detached island-stone cottage situated at the end of a quiet country lane on the outskirts of the village of Wroxall, on the southern tip of the Isle of Wight.
With many of the cottages original features such as stone walls and flags being retained this newly refurbished cottage combines contemporary living and classic cottage design. The decor is a modern take on cottage classics.
Sleeping up to 6 comfortably the cottage is the ideal holiday bolt hole for those in search of style, elegance and luxurious comfort.
Manor Farm Cottage is the perfect retreat for families especially those with young children. You will find a wealth of baby, toddler and child accessories at the cottage from a steam steriliser, digital baby monitor, food blender and stair gates to your more usual cots, highchairs and crockery. Every care has been taken to ensure that parents have a stress free packing experience before your holiday begins.
Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and National Trust Land and with public footpaths on the front doorstep, Manor Farm is an idyllic country escape. Surrounded by fields and natural farm land the cottage has a relaxing and tranquil location.
A short distance away (1 mile walking) is the village of Wroxall with a l local convenience store, post office, off licence and two pubs each serving food. Just outside the village is Appuldurcombe House and The Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary, perfect days out for all.
A 3 miles drive south takes you to the seaside town of Vent nor and its Michelin rated restaurant The Hambrough.
The cottage Ground Floor front door opens into a small farm style porch, the perfect place to leave muddy wellies or sandy buckets.
The front room looks out onto the surrounding countryside, has an open coal fire, large comfy sofas seating up to 6 persons and flat screen TV with freeview and DVD player. Plus a Bose i-Pod docking system for leisurely listening.
The dining room with a large oak table seats 6-8 people comfortably and will extend to 10 if need be. In one corner positioned next to an open coal fire and looking out onto the open farm fields is a tastefully upholstered reading chair. In another corned by the stairs is a children’s small table and 2 chairs!
Opening off of the dining room is the kitchen which is fully appointed with a wealth of kitchen utensils and gadgets plus dishwasher and fridge freezer.
Leading off of the Kitchen is the utility room with washing machine, dryer, separate WC and back door which takes you out to the gravel drive and side garden.
Off the kitchen again is the day room with 2 easy chairs, TV, DVD, video and a wealth of children’s book, toys and games not to mention adult books, DVD’s and videos. French doors open out into the secure, peaceful back garden.
Upstairs
Traditional farm cottage stairs covered with toughened glass lead up to 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and 1 twin) and a modern family bathroom.
The Green Fern bedroom is bright and airy with views of the surrounding countryside. The king sized bed with memory foam topper has sumptuous crisp cotton bedding and decorative scatter cushions.
The Cow Parsley blue bedroom has a king sized bed, memory foam topped mattress and fresh white cotton bedding. With views out across the country fields it is far removed from the hustle and bustle of the mainland.
The Red, White and Blue twin room looks out over the back garden and is fully appointed for children: bunk beds, chest of drawers with built on change table, star lights, reading chair and enough room for a travel cot or two and a chest full of toys!
The bathroom is large and spacious with a slipper bath, separate shower, WC and sink. The non slip flooring is ideal for little ones.
Both main bedrooms have enough space for a travel cot.

Getting to the Isle of Wight
Wightlink and Red Funnel Isle of Wight Ferries operate a round-the-clock service between the English mainland and the Isle of Wight. The service is offered every day of the year on three routes across the Solent.
