Many original features remain; stripped floor boards in the living room, stone flags in the kitchen, a cast-iron hearth in the green bedroom and stairs that date back to 1850!

The house provides all the modern conveniences; a flat screen TV, iPOD docking system, DVD player & CD player/radio, washer/dryer, dishwasher, combination microwave with convection oven, fridge freezer, hairdryers, etc.

Ground Floor:

The front door opens into a very Spacious Hall where you can hang coats and hats and store away shoes, wellies, etc; The stylish Dining Room seats 6-8 with French doors opening into the back garden; The Living Room is light, bright and spacious with a wood burning stove. A sunny window seat looks out down the front garden; the fully equipped open plan Kitchen Breakfast Room with Rayburn cooker has French doors leading out into the back garden.

Upstairs:

Fairly steep stairs lead up to 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and a twin) and a modern family bathroom. The Master bedroom is bright and airy. From the king sized bed you have 180 degree views of the surrounding countryside;

The Green Bedroom has a double bed and original fireplace. Again this room has magnificent view of the Downs;

The Blue Bedroom is a cosy twin looking out over the back garden and the fields beyond;

The Bathroom has a bath, separate built in shower, sink and WC. The non slip floor is ideal for little ones.

Outside:

The secluded front and rear gardens both have sunny patio areas and are ideal for taking time out in. Private off street parking for 2 to 3 cars. For kids there is an 8ft trampoline with enclosure plus swing, slide and baby swing plus numerous outdoor toys whilst for adults there is a selection of garden furniture and a BBQ. A fenced-off pond in the front garden is a haven for wildlife.

Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty the cottage has a tranquil and relaxing location, with the front and back gardens commanding panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

The cottage is within easy strolling distance of the village amenities. The unspoilt village of Niton has an excellent selection of shops including a local convenience store & off licence, newsagent, post office, butcher, chemist and bookshop, as well as 2 traditional pubs - the White Lion and the Buddle Inn, both serving good food and ale.

Located in a wonderful area for walking and cycling, footpaths lead directly from the front garden to St Catherine's Down. Several beautiful coves and beaches, including Steep Hill Cove, are just a short distance away. Nearby places to visit include Blackgang Chine Adventure Park and Ventnor Botanic Gardens.
