Knights in Malta Bed and Breakfast is located in one of the most central and picturesque villages in Malta. It is a few minutes walk from the Naxxar village square along the beautiful St Lucy Street and close to shops, cafes and bars. There is available parking. Knights In Malta is a 300 year old house of Character and the entrance opens into a private courtyard with traditional features, trees and plants. The house was renovated by an Italian designer and incorporates natural stone, wooden beams, soft furnishings, antiques and many interesting original features. Breakfast is served alfresco in the courtyard or in the 300 year old open planned dining room. Accommodation comprises of a deluxe bedrooms with private bathroom , and lovely double bedrooms overlooking the courtyard and all rooms have a balcony. All rooms are comfortable and furnished to high standards. If you do hire a car it is only a 10 minutes drive to St. Julians and Sliema where you can find a lovely sandy beach, bars, cinemas and all the nightlife. The bus terminal is just down the road and there are frequent buses to all parts of Malta.

The Island of Malta region
The Islands of Malta and Gozo lie in the central Mediterranean. The total area is only 316sq.Km/122sq.m. Malta Malta has a very sunny climate with an average of 5 to 6 hours of sunshine a day in midwinter and over 12 hours a day in summer. Malta has a wonderful location and is one of the most historic and exciting Islands in the Mediterranean. The local people are helpful and very friendly. English is spoken by almost everybody, so you don't need a phrasebook.
The Naxxar / San Pawl Tat-Targa area
Wander through Naxxar's St Lucy Street with the biggest number of alley ways in Malta and admire centuries old houses of character. Go to nearby Mosta and visit the Mosta Dome where a bomb was dropped during the Second World War and miraculously nobody was hurt in the congregation.
Take a visit to Palazzo Parisio and admire its miniature Versaille gardens. This is just at the end of the road.
Take a short trip to the prehistoric ruins of the Hypogeum, Hagar Qim and other marvels that are even older than Stonehenge.
Spend the day at Malta's only golf course. Amenities include an 18 hole golf course, 18 tennis courts, 5 squash courts, mini golf and a cricket pitch.
If you have children then a visit to the Playmobil Factory is a must.
A car is not essential in Naxxar. Just hop on the bus to the Capital City Valletta and see the sights: Museums, the Cathedral, the Presidential Palace, the Barraca gardens, the Auberges of the Knights of St John, the open markets, or take a horse and carriage ride around the harbour.
Or take the bus a short distance to St Julians and all the entertainment it has to offer. Great for the Nightlife, Bars and inexpensive drinks. Great restaurants, a huge 16 screen cinema, Bowling Alley and a lovely sandy beach called St Georges Bay.

This luxury 300 year old house of Character is situated in St Lucy Street, a beautiful alley in the centre of Naxxar.
Malta International Airport is only 30 minutes away by car. At the moment you can take advantage of the Low cost airlines such as Easyjet, Ryanair, Luftansia, XL.com and Air Malta fly regularly from most airports.
Budget Airline Vueling flies from Madrid to Malta 3 times a week; Italian airline Volare 4 times a week, and a Norwegian airline 3 times a week. Please check with your travel agent or go on line for latest information.

in the heart of Malta
John & Dee have taken an attractive and interesting old building and turned it into one of only a small number of B&Bs in Malta. Naxxar is well located in the centre of the island, for those wishing to explore all of Malta, not just the touristy bits.
As some parts of the building are 200 or more years old, you can expect quirky stairways and levels but, for the most part, this adds to the charm of the place. What some might find more disappointing is that few rooms have en suite facilities and that, in our experience, those facilities were not up to scratch. I understand that the dodgy shower screen doors will be fixed in the low season, but a more thorough weekly clean would have kept things looking nice.
Make friends with Daisy, their Maltese terrier, and persuade John to get his guitar out and you will have a very pleasant stay. We wish John and Dee every success with their business.
