Description

This is a gem of a little stone built cottage facing a triangular courtyard with the two other cottages and the swimming pool building.

Downstairs is one room comprising sitting/dining area with television with DVD and video players. It has a brand new sofa, armchair and oak dining table and chairs. At one side is the well equipped kitchen.

The staircase leads up to the bedroom with a king size four-poster bed. It is beautifully decorated with Nina Campbell wall paper and it has a large Persian rug. The separate bathroom has just been completely re-equipped and has bath, shower, loo and wash basin.

Outside in the communal courtyard is garden furniture for the use of Bantam guests only.

Onsite facilities	Swimming Pool: The timber lined Pool Hall complete with changing room, shower and W.C. is bright and airy with three vast picture windows facing South across the grounds and down over the valley. Open all year from 9.00am to 8.00pm. The water temperature is kept at a constant 30/86 degrees. The pool hall will be closed for half a day each week (usually Friday mornings) for cleaning and maintenance purposes. The pool is heated by 8 solar panels on the roof of the building. Our pool hall is unsupervised and use of the pool is subject to acknowledgement of out terms and conditions upon booking. On arrival you must familiarise yourself with the safety regulations and adhere to them at all times. Play Area: There is a children's play area with a large sturdy wooden play centre which includes two towers linked by a bridge, climbing wall, climbing net, slide, two swings and a swinging rubber tyre. There is a large and popular trampoline surrounded with safety netting. There is a basketball hoop and a football goal. Grounds and Ponds: We have had several good-sized ponds dug in part of our grounds fed by one of the streams. Our two Indian Runner ducks Henry and Henrietta live by the pond. They are very friendly, love to be fed and are very popular. There are further grounds including streams, wooded areas and fields to explore and enjoy.We are still slowly making them more accessible by, for example, building a dam across one of the streams. Local leisure activities	Coulscott is set in 16 acres, much of it open to guests. It has woodland, streams and a pond and is home to badgers, foxes, buzzards, owls and much more wildlife. Sheep and cows graze the surrounding steep meadows that shelter it on three sides. Down the valley are lovely views over rolling fields and woods with scarcely a building in sight. The village of Combe Martin is less than mile away winding down its valley to a pretty sheltered beach. Exmoor, with England’s highest cliffs, its sea coves and many lovely walks is very close and still relatively undiscovered. Its moors are cut by steep wooded combes including the famous Doone Valley. Directions

From Junction 27 on the M5 take the A361 towards Barnstaple. Just west of South Molton, at the roundabout, take the A399 towards Combe Martin. As you approach the outskirts of Combe Martin look for a road on the right hand side called "Holdstone Way" Turn right into here and continue along this road for 7/10 mile (it will become narrow and you start to climb steeply) Coulscott will be found on the left hand side.

Cottage guests continue up the main drive. Farmhouse and Georgian guests take the first left off the main drive, past the swimming pool and onwards to the front of the House.
