Sitting up on the promontory above Cabier, Two Bays Bayside Studio, designed along Colonial lines, has a 19 foot long deep shaded veranda with a swing seat that gives beautiful views over Crochu bay to the next headland and the ocean.
Cabier beach is 100 yards away. In the rear garden is an infinity swimming pool shared with the Villa and other studio which overlooks Crochu Bay and the ocean.
Bayside is equipped with a Queen-Size four poster bed with mosquito net, a large wardrobe with hanging rails and shelves, including a safe large enough for a laptop, a full en-suite bathroom with shower and wall-mounted hair-dryer. You have a large round table with chairs for 2 people and a large seat with cushions on the veranda together with a swing seat to relax in and watch the pelicans diving for fish.
There is a fully equipped kitchen and breakfast bar with all appliances including an oven with grill, microwave, coffee-maker and toaster and large fridge-freezer right down to the garlic crusher if you want to do some self-catering, having visited one of the local markets and seduced by the local produce.
All furnishings and doors are finished in elegant hardwood with a 9 foot wide opening onto the deep shaded veranda with folding wooden doors and adjustable wooden louvers giving you outdoor living even when inside the villa - so you can lie on the Queen Size bed and look over Crochu Bay and beyond in complete privacy! Each part of Two Bays accommodation has been designed so that it is private and not overlooked.
Bayside has two large ceiling fans to assist the breezes that keep it cool. Two Bays on the promontory 70 feet above the two bays enjoys Cabiers almost constant breeze off the ocean, with which you can keep rooms cool at night by using the ceiling fans with the adjustable louver in the doors and windows. On the few occasions that nature fails to do its job there is air conditioning available at a small extra cost.
Two Bays is run and serviced by Cabier Ocean Lodge, a small 11 room hotel with a restaurant and bar on a terrace overlooking the ocean. They provide a full maid service 6 days a week (except Sunday). As a guest at Two Bays you are also a guest at Cabier and have use of their facilities. There is WiFi and a computer with free internet connection for the use of guests at the Lodge.
In 2008 we came to Cabier by pure chance, fell in love with it and decided that if we were going to build a house anywhere in the world - it would be where Two Bays stands now. We finished building in January 2010. Words cannot really describe it so why not look at the photographs that do Two Bays and Cabier much more justice and then come and see - and enjoy it for yourself?

Onsite facility notes:
There is a large sun terrace and infinity pool overlooking Crochu Bay and the ocean which is for the exclusive use of Two Bays visitors (max 6 persons). It is on the other side of the ridge where Two Bays sits so is screened from general view.
There are sun beds and Arranback garden chairs and tables.
The garden is for everyone to share and because of its shape there should not be a problem finding a private space.
There are outside fresh water showers on the way back from the beach and by the pool.
Other facility notes:
Because of Cabiers near constant gentle breezes and Two Bays' high celings, ceiling fans and louvred slatted doors air conditioning is rarely needed. In order to conserve the environment we provide it on request only and make a charge of $5 per night if required.
Two Bays is maid serviced each day except Sunday.
Free WiFi and internet access is available at Two Bays and Cabier Ocean Lodge. A fax is also available down at Cabier Ocean Lodge about 100 yards away. There is a computer there for guests to use.

We allow smoking - but only on the verandas.
Car notes:
We are in an area of natural beauty in a rural location on a promontory overlooking the sea and - two bays.
There is little around us other than Cabier Ocean Lodge 100 yards away with 11 rooms, terrace bar and restaurant. As a guest of Cabier you have use of their facilities. This is part of the charm of Caier with its magnificent beach.
Grenville is our nearest town 20 minutes away with shops, supermarket and vibrant local market. St George's and Grand Anse is about 45 minutes away. There is a local store that sells a surprising range of items at Crochu village cross roads and a bakery further down the road with delicious fresh bread.
Cabier is within a 45 minute drive to the rain forest / cocao plantation/ rum distillery etc. north of Grenville. It is quite a small island and all trips are easily done in half a day/day depending on destination.
Leisure notes:
Watersports and sailing as well as deep sea fishing and excellent diving are all in the vicinity of St George's and its harbour. There is a small golf course near St George's as well as public tennis courts.
There is walking on the headland and on trails in the rain forest.
Other notes:
There is room for two cars to park in the car port area by the pool and at the Lodge car park 100 yards away.
Two Bays sits in a natural environment so there will be occasional visits by gekkoes and stick insects as well as by more colourful visitors such as humming birds and doves, although these will stick to the garden. These make up part of the vibrant local natural population. There is nothing seriously harmful in the natural population on Grenada but obvious precautions need to be taken at night against mosquitoes. Generally we are not much affected by them at Two Bays because of the height and breeze although there are more around during the rainy season.
Directions:
There are regular weekly flights by British Airways and Virgin to Maurice Bishop airport from Gatwick and in the high season there are additional flights.
The cost of flights range from £475 to £650/800 return depending on the time of year using BA World Traveller class or equivalent. It is worth booking as early as possible to obtain the best prices and seats as at certain times of the year a lot of Grenadans come home (Carnival in early August, Easter and Xmas).
BA & Virgin go via Barbados or Tobago in each direction with an hour wait on board. The flight time is around 8.5 hours arriving in the afternoon.
Getting to Two Bays at Cabier from the airport is easy with either a taxi sent by Cabier Ocean Lodge or by renting a vehicle and being met at the airport. journey time is around 45 minutes with a spectacular drive along the east side of the island with the rain forest rising up on your left and the sea on your right.
The route to Cabier is easy as there is not much in the choice of roads on the east side of the island and full directions wil be sent before departure. You can rent a vehicle through Cabier Ocean Lodge for a minimum of 3 days if you want to take a taxi on arrival to Two Bays or we can put you in touch with two car hire firms. If renting a vehicle then we would recommend an SUV 4 x 4. The cost is around USD$45-$60 per day. Driving is on the left. A temporary Grenada licence is needed at a cost of ECD$25. You need your home licence to apply on arrival.
