Description
An excellent location for peace and quiet whilst conveniently located to explore the nearby highlights of the island. Villa Oleander is located below the typical Greek village of Afra. A picturesque and tranquil village nestling into the hills surrounded by countryside.
It is situated with four other residential homes and is located at the end of a private road overlooking an olive grove and farm land. Agios Ioannis is the neighbouring village which has a taverna, local bar, hairdressers, pharmacy and small mini market.
Pelekas is a charming village built into a mountain with stunning views of the sea and all over the island. There are plenty of tavernas to choose from with some local bars and internet cafe. Pelekas has also one of the best beaches on the island.
Corfu Town is 15 minutes drive away and has an endless choice of tavernas, bars and shops.
Booking notes:
20% deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance is payable not less than 8 weeks before the start of the rental period. Reservations made within 8 weeks of the start of the rental period require full payment at the time of booking.
A £200.00 refundable security deposit payable prior to arrival and will be refunded 10 days after departure from the villa if there are no breakages or damage to the property.
Rates notes:
There is a discount for multiple weeks during the month of April and October
Bookings will be confirm when the deposit is received and booking form has been signed by the lead name agreeing to the terms and conditions which will be sent with the booking form.

The main bathroom is opposite the 2nd bedroom and has a Bath with shower, vanity unit and WC.

Open plan and well equipped kitchen.
There is a washing machine at the villa which is seperate to the kitchen.
Onsite facility notes:
Very comfortable sun lounger with padded cushions for extra comfort. 3M diametre sunshades provided.
Other facility notes:
Optional Air conditioning available at a suppliment of 10 euro per day.
Car notes:
We have arranged discounted rates with a local car hire company. Please ask for details.

My husband and I were looking forward to a relaxing holiday and this was definitely the place to be as soon as we opened the gate to the villa the sight of the extremely clean pool and wonderful sun loungers surrounded by wonderfully scented plants we knew that we had come to the right place. The villa inside did not disappoint it is equiped really well even with a picnic bag and freezer blocks! the villa is also wonderfully cool and has all the facilities that you would need even better than the website describes.Shay and Stephen are wonderful hosts and know the island very well and will advise on places to visit they have also compiled a great handbook which has a wide range of information. We enjoyed visiting the coastline by car and loved Agni where we enjoyed a lovely lunch by the beach, next time we will take a boat from Barbati and visit all the wonderful beaches. I enjoyed a short break to Villa Oleander in June and can't wait to return. As soon as you walk through the gates you feel instantly relaxed - the pool area is absolutely gorgeous and everything is to hand such as the comfortable sun loungers which you can easily fall asleep all day on!, the brick BBQ which the owners had built themselves and the outdoor dining area where you can enjoy evening drinks and dinner whilst watching the sun set in the hills.
The Villa itself is equally as impressive, it's modern and airy and furnished to high standards. The owners have thought of everything and there is even a great selection of books and DVDs to keep you entertained should you want a break from eating and drinking!
The Villa is also situated in a very peaceful area and the sound of the birds and the neighbouring sheep are a delight to wake up to! It's also in easy reach of Corfu Town, some great beaches and my fave place, Paleokastritsa (forgive the spelling if incorrect!) although to be honest I found it a challenge to leave the blissful surroundings of Villa Oleander and could have quite happily stayed wthin the confines of the Villa all holiday!
What enhances your stay further is the welcome you get from the owners - Shay & Stephen - they are extremely helpful and informative but are also non-intrusive.
This Villa would suit anyone - whether you are a lone traveller, a couple of any age or a family. I, for one, can't wait to return!
I had a week of total relaxation at this lovely villa in June.
The villa is so nice that after a morning visting one of the pretty local villages or lounging on a nearby beach I was quite looking forward to getting back to the villa.
My total relaxation involved lounging ( again ) around the pool with a glass of the local rose wine followed by a bar-b-que. Nearby supermarkets are reasonably priced selling all the greek favourites & everyday essentials. The villa has everything you could need for a stress free holiday. A well equiped kitchen not the usual holiday apartment kitchen but what you will be used to back home. The bedrooms are comfortable,cool & as like the rest of the villa spotlessly clean.
I have visited Corfu many times but every time I return I love it even more. I didn't venture out much on this holiday, only locally, but the rest of the island is in easy reach from the villa.
I will be returning to this villa as soon as my holiday plans allow me.
