Our sunny apartment is high up on the 3rd floor, is south-west facing and boasts extensive views down the spectacular Gosau valley to the massive Dachstein mountain nearby, and over meadows to the ski slopes.
It consists of a large room, where the living area has two sofas for extra comfort, and a dining table, with the sleeping area and large wardrobe at the rear. There is a separate kitchen and bathroom, as well as the balcony for extra space - particularly lovely for dining on in the sunshine.
Superbly located within the prestigious Vitalhotel complex in Gosau, freshly refurbished for this winter, our guests can take full advantage of the wonderful mix of sports and leisure facilities or try out some spa treatments - for a truly fabulous time.
Our guests also enjoy free use of the indoor swimming pool and sauna – and specially discounted prices in the hotel’s fine restaurant. Our apartment is self-catering but there is a wide choice of local restaurants - in the village, on the mountain trails, beside Gosausee and at other lakes, so dining out is a lovely and varied experience!
Our apartment's own kitchen is ideal for preparing breakfast, snacks and picnic lunches, and evening meals when dining-in is prefered. And in summer you will find the sunny balcony is a wonderful place to dine with the sounds of distant church bells and cow bells creating a relaxing atmosphere.
Gosau's central position in the lakes region offers guests a wide range of other activities, such as lake swimming and BBQs, boat trips, fishing, golf, shopping and exploring the nearby spa towns and lakeside villages. And Salzburg only 45 minutes drive.
After busy, active or lazy days in the mountains our guests should return for a refreshing swim and sauna before rewarding themselves with a cocktail in the bar and a tasty 3-course dinner in the hotel's fine restaurant.
Visitors to our 'Gosau Apartment' will find themselves ideally placed for great skiing, snow-boarding and langlauf - and in other seasons - hiking and mountain biking along clearly marked trails. And in winter, the free ski-bus runs to the ski lifts near by, leading to the Dachstein-West ski area above.

Guests also must pay a Tourist Tax of approx €1.30 per adult per day, at Reception.

* All the above, and use of the Boot Room and Ski Locker, are included in the rental.
* The hotel facilities: Available to guests and charged.
* Dining in the hotel is an option as long as guests inform the Reception/Dining Room in advance. Guests will pay a special discounted rate for their meals and should pay afterwards. Half-Board is an option in winter - ask us for details.
* Guests are allowed free use of the small indoor swimming pool, mixed sauna, sun beds and games room. Other facilities incur a charge.
* Guests should wear a robe over bathing suits on way to the pool, and your own towels should be used.
In the low season (Spring and Autumn/Fall) the hotel, where our apartment is located, sometimes closes, eg April and November, so we cannot operate holiday lets at those times. If you are not sure of anything please email us!

* The large apartment room has two single beds with bedside drawer units and reading lamps. There is a large wardrobe with hanging space and internal shelves. At the balcony end of the room is the lounge area. Here two comfortable sofas (one can be used as a sofa-bed for a child), two small coffee tables and a standard lamp with dimmer to compliment the lounge area. A television with built in DVD player and a CD player are there for our guests use. (Please bring you own DVDs and CDs, although there are some already there for our guests' use). A large sideboard with cupboards and drawers provide a useful place to keep items. Inside the sideboard is a good supply of brochures and leaflets giving information on what there is to do in the area. A dining table and two cushioned dining chairs complete the living area of the room. The balcony has three chairs, a table and a washing airer - and a splendid view! |

* The village of Gosau is ideally located in a valley in the heart of the Salzkammergut (lakes) region of Upper Austria, near ski lifts and walking/biking trails - ideal for both active and relaxing breaks.
During the winter the valley is transformed into one of Austria’s best kept skiing secrets. The snow in the Dachstein-West region is plentiful all season, and is replenished regularly with fresh powder. The road up the Gosau valley ends when it comes up against the massive Dachstein mountain range and Gosausee. From here a cable car climbs up the mountain side to a viewpoint looking down onto the lake and across to the glaciers on the Dachstein. A restaurant with a sunny terrace is the place to soak up the wonderful view. Spring, Summer and Autumn are a delight with walking and biking trails, white water rafting, and sightseeing in abundance. Salzburg, the ice caves at Halstatt, St Wolfgang and the spa town of Bad Ischl with its thermal baths are all within easy reach.
