Description

Camellia Cottage is ideally situated just up the hill from the edge of the river Fowey, in the tranquil little village of Golant, on the south coast of Cornwall.

The Cottage is a delightful place to return home to after a day exploring the beaches or picturesque harbours of Fowey and Mevagissey, along with the EdenProject and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

This semi-detached holiday cottage has been furnished and equipped to a high standard of comfort and style to accommodate couples or young families of up to four guests in two bedrooms. It has a lovely garden where the mature camellia trees (hence the cottage name!), flower profusely in the spring, providing an ideal place for a glass of wine on the patio as the sun goes down or a barbeque.

Golant overlooks the Fowey estuary and is a great base for discovering Cornwall. River excursions run throughout the summer from Fowey where you can explore the waters, which are a haven for wildlife.

The Saints Way Path runs through the village of Golant and it provides spectacular scenery for walks along the river Fowey, ultimately linking up with all the coastal paths. There is a very good local pub in the village which serves excellent food which can be eaten on the large patio over looking the river on a sunny day.
