Description

Ashanti is a new condominium complex on the west coast of Barbados only minutes away from the spectacular beaches at Gibbs and Mullins Bay in the parish of St. Peter.Ashanti offers three bedrooms which can comfortably sleep six guests. The apartment has TV, internet and telephone, air-conditioning, swimming pool, maid service, lift and wheelchair access.

Ashanti is located in the popular Gibbs area between Holetown and Speightstown, each boasting a variety of restaurants, shopping, banking and water sport facilities.

Positioned on an elevated lot, the apartment has sea views over the Gibbs residential community. The condominium has a large communal pool, gated security and a dedicated parking spot for residents.

The first floor apartment has three bedrooms, all of which have air-conditioning and en-suite bathroom facilities. Balconies extend from the main living area and master bedroom. Three double rooms collectively sleeping six, comfortably. Bed linen is provided.

The kitchen area has the usual appliances including built-in dishwasher, microwave and American fridge with ice dispenser.

The laundry room contains a washer and dryer combination as well as a Belfast sink. A maid service is provided.

Car required?	recommended The St Peter Parish region Barbados is regarded as “the jewel” of the Caribbean and the West Coast is affectionately known as the “platinum coast” because of its clean, glittering beaches and spectacular sunsets. Unlike the Atlantic coast the waters are calm, clear and warm. The west coast is the most sort after area of the island where property is of premium value compared to other parts. It is ideal for swimming, snorkelling, wind surfing, water skiing, scuba diving or just relaxing on the beach enjoying the sun, sand and sights. There is only an average 2 degrees Celsius variation from the warmest to the coldest months, so whenever you go you should be basking in average temperatures of around 30 degrees Celsuis. One of the most popular islands in the Caribbean, Barbados has miles of fine white sand with towering palms and turquoise waters. The Gibbes area The local beach is what you may expect, quiet with "white" sand, simply beautiful. If you prefer a more "commcialised" beach, then Mullins beach is approx.10 minutes walk from the Ashani which has a restaurant, bar and beach hut that stock those incidential beach items (sun cream, air beds etc.) Should you wish to hire a jet ski, boat trip or other water based activity these are also available at Mullins beach. Away fom the beach are hills with stunning plantation houses and tropical vegetation, not to mention the fields of sugar cane used extensively for locally produced rum. There are ample opportunities to play tennis, explore the island on foot and even play golf on one of several courses of international standing. For those who prefer to spectate, Barbados has a racecourse and is home to the Kensington Oval – a must for cricket fans. The parish of St.Peter is also home to the Wildlife Reserve and is one of the best places to see the Barbados Green Monkey in its natural environment. Currency: Barbados Dollars (US. Directions

Air – Barbados has a single major airport, the Sir Grantley Adams International Airport (IATA identifier BGI). It receives daily flights by several major airlines from around the world and acts as the main air transportation hub for the eastern Caribbean.

Taxi – The Island has plenty of taxis for hire but may we suggest you agree the fare before you ride. Prices from the airport to the Gibbs area are fixed and clearly publicised at the airport.

Bus Service – There are three bus services running seven days a week, though less frequently on Sundays that provide access to most of the island. The most commonly used are those that run up & down the west coast main road that give easy access to all the major towns on the island.

Car Rental & Scooters / Motorcycle – Barbados has several locally owned and operated vehicle rental agencies. There are no multi-national car rental agencies such as Avis, Europcar or Hertz.

Barbados is approx. 15 miles wide x 20 miles long – nowhere is very far away.
