Villa Amanda is situated just outside the family resort of Caleta de Fuste, 5 min. away from the beach by car. The area is in Fuerteventura's premier golf course with spectacular views of sea and mountains. The villa has all the guests need to spend a relaxing holiday. There are freeform heated pool with sunbathing ledges, beautiful gardens, alfresco dining area, private sun terrace, master bedroom with super king-size bed and en suite bathroom, 1 twin bedroom, 1 triple bed room, fully fitted kitchen and Internet access. Within walking distance is a shopping complex complete with large supermarket, bars, restaurants, designer shops and bowling alley. The villa is 15 min. drive away from the airport. There are great restaurants and shops in Caleta. Guests will enjoy the sight of the marina and local beach nearby.
The villa is beautifully furnished with a pool measuring 1-1.5m deep. There are landscaped gardens at the front and rear sides of the house with large patio area, 6 sunloungers, large umbrella, shower and Canarian BBQ. The private pool has a unique, free-form design measuring 7.5m x 3.5m with steps and a sun bathing area. The pool area is private and screened from properties on both sides by imitation grass hedging. The imitation grass is laid all around the pool area. Wooden table and chairs for outside dining with shade are available. There is also putting green along one side of the villa. Upstairs there is a large roof terrace for private sunbathing with tables and chairs and unrivalled views of the golf course, sea and mountains.
Fuerteventura has many wonderful sandy beaches. The beach at Caleta is 5 min. drive away from the villa where water sports, diving, and jet-ski are available. More deserted beaches can be found at the north near Coralejo (approximately half an hour away) and at the south (40 to 50 min. away by car). In the north, deserted lagoons and further beaches can be found around the small port of El Cotillo approximately 45 min. drive away.
Villa Amanda is situated on Fuerteventura's premier 18-hole, par 70 golf course which is reached through the 5-start Elba Palace Golf Hotel, a couple of minutes walk from the villa. The hotel is open to non-residents and has a café overlooking the driving range, together with an a la carte restaurant. There are also customized golf packages.
Although car hire is recommended for enjoying the island to the maximum, taxis are plentiful, modern and relatively cheap. There are also reliable local buses. Ferry trips to neighboring islands (Lanzarote is just nearby) are also available.
Caleta de Fuste is 2km away from Villa Amanda with abundant shops, restaurants and entertainment. The Island's capital, Puerto Del Rosario, is approximately 12 km away. Further afield, Betancuria (the island's old capital) and fascinating museum are approximately 45 - 60 min. drive along a winding mountain road.
The island is famous for its peace and quietness, goats, aloe vera, deep sea fishing, windsurfing and other water sports. There is a colourful market on every Saturday morning in Caleta. Items range from leather goods and designer watches to sunglasses, beach clothes and genuine African wood carvings. There are plenty of bargains to enjoy. There are many cash machines and banks nearby. Almost everything that is sold in an English town is available in Puerto del Rosario.
