The house is within the conservation area of a friendly Provencal village, with shops, cafes, bars and restaurants close by. There is a sunny terrace for al fresco drinks and meals, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine. Golf course nearby and local forest walks.
There is air conditioning in the main room and bedroom - warm for the winter, cool for the summer. The house is safe for children with normal supervision! There is a library of over 300 fiction and non-fiction books, including a section on living in France.
It's 33 stairs up, so not suitable for those with restricted mobility.
Outdoor amenities include terrace with table and chairs, sun umbrella and loungers etc. We try to maintain a good display of flowers/plants in the numerous pots.
The house is 7 miles away from the sea. There is a variety of beaches including sandy, shingle or rocky.
There is a local golf course on outskirts of the village, others a bit further away, but not being a golfer have no idea whether they are 'good' courses.
The house is 762 miles from Calais and 1 hour's drive from Nice airport. Having a car is pretty essential unless you are content to stay in the village and go for walks.
