Great location and views
The accommodation, which is over the ground floor of the house, is spacious, well equipment and tastefully decorated. It has a lovely atmosphere and is well suited to its fantastic location with beatiful views over the beach. Our two year old daughter loved running from the conservatory to the living room to look out at the beach. Elie itself is quaint and a great base for touring around Fife. The large beach is ideal for children and walks. We had a great time and would not hesitate to return.
'Dalmore' Elie
Situated in a superb location overlooking the bay and harbour, the flat is part of a very handsome house. It has the combination of ambience and style with original period features in the lounge with a very modern and stylish bathroom and fully equiped kitchen. The flat has a warm and welcoming feel and the owners have dressed it as if it was your own home with some very nice personal touches. It is in exceptional condition with everything one could possibly need to enjoy the holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would without hesitation recommend this accommodation and we would hope to return in the not too distant future.
Wonderful Holiday home East Neuk of Fife
Dalmore is a fabulous holiday house in Elie. We have had 6 holidays there each one as good as the last. I have teenage daughters and a 10 year old son and they all love to holiday there.
The house itself is fantastic, spotless with everything you could want in it. It is decorated to a very high standard with art work to die for. The views are magnificent. In the summer you can sit on the patio with a glass of wine and watch the world go by or on colder days in the conservatory.
We play golf, tennis, swim, peer jump, walk and sail. plenty to do to keep all the family busy. However, if you are feeling lazy the house is perfect for lounging around in.
The kitchen is fully equipped to cook and bake but there are also plently of places to eat nearby, The Ship, The Golf Tavern and Mayview hotel in St Monans (can walk to it along the costal route) and award winning fish & chips in Anstruther.
St Andrews is nearby-can be accessed by teenagers on the bus, as can Edinburgh! The WiFi also a bonus in the eyes of a teenager!
A REAL GEM
We stayed at Easter 2011 for 4 nights and were blessed with some wonderful weather. The house was fantastic a geat chill out place and we all felt very much at home. We have 2 teenage girls who are not easily pleased but they loved everything about it. Views were fantastic and we had endless walks along the beach. The village itself is beautiful with some lovely shops. With St. Andrews just 30 mins away this is a real gem.
Beautiful house, amazing views!!!
We stayed in April 2011 with our 4yr old daughter. Couldn't have asked for a more fantastic holiday. The house is right next to the beach - we practically had to drag our wee one off it at the end of the day!
The pictures on the web site don't do the views justice at all. I loved sitting in the conservatory most of the time.
We were very lucky with the weather too so didn't need to take advantage of lighting the open fire in the living room.
Ellie is a great base for a family holiday. There's loads to do roundabout or just explore the rock pools on Ellie beach.
We'll definitely be back!
Fabulous views and a home from home
We have stayed at Damlore twice now with our 2 young children and can't wait to return next year. The house is very comfortable with everything you could possibly need. The beach is right on your doorstep as is the fabulous Ship Inn which is well worth a visit.
The views are fantastic and many a night can be spent sitting outside watching the waves with a glass of wine!
Elie is a beautiful base to explore the East Neuk of Fife and our kids have spent many a happy day on the beach as the sun does shine!
Great House, fantastic view
We have now visited this house twice and will definitely return.
The location is absolutely perfect for walks on the beach or along the coast and also a stones throw from the famous Ship Inn.
The views from the house are absolutely stunning and you would never tire of these. The quality of the house itself is excellent containing everything you may need for your stay.
Elie aside, Dalmore is an ideal base to explore the entire East Neuk and is ideal for families and couples young and old
Paradise!!!
What a beautiful place. We were looking for a place to switch off relax and recharge the batteries and this was the perfect spot. The view is amazing and Elie is a wondefully peaceful spot. The accomodation was excellent. It is very roomy and warm, we were there at one of the coldest times but were still plenty warm enough. The kitchen is large and well equiped and connects to a conservetory overlooking the sea, perfect for that glass of wine and a good book. The whole apartment is furnished to a very high standard and very clean.
We had several walks along the beach and coastline and found a number of places available for coffee and lunch. There is also a good bus service along the coast connecting the villages till very late at night. So you can go for a meal with wine at another village and catch the bus back no need to drive!! Even more tempting is the Ship Inn - just a short walk from house. I admit we ate there 3 time in 6 days. The food is very good. Looking forward to going back sometime soon.
Great view, great house!
A wonderful house in a wonderful location. This is the perfect house for a quiet and comfortable break. It is a real "home from home" and the view alone prompts instant relaxation! The standard of furnishing is excellent and we could not fault anything during our time in Elie. Plenty to do and see nearby - this is one of the best bits of Fife and the views and walks are unsurpassed. Highly recommended.
Pretty Elie!
My wife and I stayed for a few days in this very comfortable flat which has views of the sea! We were delighted! We took the opportunity of driving around the east of Fife in an anti-clockwise direction, towards St Andrews. Many sights to enjoy along the route, with the final destination being one of the famous golf courses near St Andrews! Magnificent and hugely recommended!
Seeing is believing
To wake up to that view every morning is wonderful. The spacious house is so well equipped for every kind of guest both young and old and all the domestic facilities you will ever need. If you like to dine out, there is a wide range of very good eating places nearby. The location is also ideal for a quiet stroll just looking at the fabulous scenery.
