Holly Tree Cottage has two bedrooms comfortably sleeps two to four guests. The cottage has landscaped gardens and picturesque village views.
Holly Tree Cottage is a newly refurbished (2004) traditional cottage situated by the village green in the quiet and picturesque village of Upper Largo. There is a secluded, landscaped garden to the rear with a patio and garden furniture.
The village is sheltered by the old volcanic mound of Largo Law to the North and is connected by a Woodlands Trust walk, the Serpentine, to Lower Largo, Largo Bay, the Coastal Path and the beach. Walkers and nature lovers also enjoy Keil's Den (Woodland's Trust) close by. Largo Law (967 feet) provides a more challenging walk but is worthwhile for the wonderful views.
Upper Largo (also known as Kirkton of Largo) is centred on the old Church which was consecrated in 1243 and sits high on a grassy knoll by the village green.
The village has a grocery shop, post office and a hotel with a popular restaurant. Other shops are a short distance away in Lundin Links (1 mile) or Leven (3 miles)
The location is ideal for exploring St Andrews and the East Neuk villages. Edinburgh, Stirling and Perth are an hours drive away and Glasgow and Aberdeen 2 hours away.
Fife has 45 golf courses - all within easy reach and including those in St Andrews, the Home of Golf. Lundin Links, less than a mile away, boasts 2 courses - Lundin Golf Club - used as a qualifying course for the Open and the very unique Lundin Ladies Golf Club - the oldest ladies only club in the world. (Men are welcome to play there!) The ladies course is 9 holes, very picturesque and has standing stones as an unusual hazard on the second hole.
The cottage sleeps 2 to 4 persons and the accommodation includes:
