The only neighbours being the owners in the main house nearby. A concrete drive leads through the 200 acre farm, now mainly planted with trees. Private footpaths meander down to Restronguet creek, through mature woodland abundant with birds and wildlife. Almost equidistant between Falmouth with its sandy beaches and the Cathedral City of Truro, the cottage is ideally located for touring the county. There are numerous National Trust properties and gardens to visit close by.
Mylor village has a good selection of shops and a pub, nearby at Mylor Harbour there is an excellent wine bar, two sailing schools along with boat, bike & canoe hire.
The accommodation is all on one level. The living room, entered from the terrace, has comfortable sitting and dining areas, with a wood burning stove, flat screen television, DVD, playstation and CD player. The fully equipped kitchen offers an electric stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
Both bedrooms are comfortably furnished, the double room with king size bed, has an en-suite shower room, with wash hand basin and toilet. The twin bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, with bath, shower above, wash hand basin and toilet. All the rooms overlook the private enclosed garden.
Oil fired central heating throughout.
Outside is a terrace with garden furniture and barbecue, there is ample parking for two cars, and hard standing for boats.
The friendly village of Mylor Bridge is situated at the head of Mylor Creek. The village has a thriving community with good local facilities including a well stocked general store, butcher, fishmonger, newsagent, post office and a traditional village pub. From Mylor Bridge, you can follow the coastal path round to the 13th century Pandora Inn at Restronguet.
Mylor Yacht Harbour is just a short distance downstream from the village and has two good seafood restaurants and cafe, plus excellent boating facilities including pontoon berths, swinging moorings with access to the Carrick roads, and a good watersports centre along with a sailing school, boat, bike and canoe hire.
