Description
The cottage offers comfortable accommodation with a warm and welcoming atmosphere providing an ideal holiday retreat at any time of the year. The village itself has a good range of shops and pub with the waterside thatched Pandora Inn just half a mile away at Restronguet where access to the water for the boat enthusiast has been arranged, with launching, boat storage and parking.
The cottage benefits from level access to the front door with the entrance hall leading to the comfortable sitting room with television, video and CD stereo. The fully fitted kitchen has an Aga, microwave and a breakfast bar with views out over the fields. The adjoining tilly room has an electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. The back door opens onto a sunny courtyard. There is a separate dining room, a ground floor twin bedroom and a separate shower room with wash hand basin and toilet.
Stairs lead to a landing, with access to a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, both offering views up the garden, and a second bathroom with bath, hand held shower, wash hand basin and toilet.
There is ample off road parking, for cars and boats.
In the large mature garden the trees and flower borders provide the perfect retreat for a quiet read or an evening barbecue.
The cottage is heated throughout by night storage heaters and central heating.
The friendly village of Mylor Bridge is situated at the head of Mylor Creek. The village has a thriving community with good local facilities including a well stocked general store, butcher, fishmonger, newsagent, post office and a traditional village pub. From Mylor Bridge, you can follow the coastal path round to the 13th century Pandora Inn at Restronguet.
Mylor Yacht Harbour is just a short distance downstream from the village and has two good seafood restaurants and cafe, plus excellent boating facilities including pontoon berths, swinging moorings with access to the Carrick roads, and a good watersports centre along with a sailing school, boat, bike and canoe hire.
