"Gallery Corner" is a superior chalet located on the beach at Blue Anchor with views of Exmoor, decorated and furnished to the highest standards, and offering exceptional comfort.
Walkers and nature lovers will be in their element with Exmoor National Park, Quantock Hills and the South West Coastal Path literally on the doorstep. It is ideally positioned for visiting a host of beaches and is only a few miles from the seaside town of Minehead with its shops, pubs, restaurants, harbour fishing and coastal boat trips. The quaint village of Porlock is just a short drive away or visit the medieval village of Dunster along with all the other picture-postcard villages. You will also be close to various attractions that include West Somerset Steam Railway, golf course and horse riding and Wimbleball Reservoir with fishing and boating is available. It is also ideally situated for exploring North Devon with the well-known towns of Lynton and Lynmouth only a 20 mile drive away.
Blue Anchor is ideal for children, with sand to play in when the tide goes out a little, and a great coastline to discover with loads to do

NOTE: Our change over day is now a Sunday. Saturday proved to be a very difficult day for our clients to travel due to the congestion on the M5. Everyone seems to travel on Saturday and Sunday is no problem for arriving and departing. This should help you enjoy your holiday a lot more without the stress of motorway 'car parks'!

Weekly bookings are from Sunday to Sunday. Short breaks are possible by prior arrangement.
Normally, arrival should be after 4 p.m. and departure should be by 11 a.m. If the chalet is available, we can be flexible about these times. Please ask.
Provisional bookings will be accepted by telephone and email and will be held for 7 days, pending our receipt of a completed booking form and £50 deposit.

The chalet is open plan with an upper floored 'Gallery style' bedroom. The gallery bedroom area has 2 single beds and an extra auxiliary roll out self inflatable mattress for a 5th person. The double bed is a very nice wardrobe style pull down bed. This is very easy to set up and even quicker to put away, leaving you with maximum living space in the lower part of the chalet. When the tide is in, there is nothing nicer then hearing the sound of the waves gently breaking on the pepples in the morning as you wake up. Perfect! |

Blue Anchor is very popular for sea fishing. There are regular competitions there and ample positions to fish from. Minehead Golf course is an excellent links course and a very short distance away. You can walk all the way to Minehead along the coastline passing Duster beach on the way. You could then get the Steam train back to the chalet from Minehead, the train will stop right outside the chalet park! Dogs and dog walkers will love the location. There is a swimming pool 5 minutes away by foot and plenty of opportunities to enjoy a bike riding if you choose to bring one with you. Remember this is the ultimate place for pure relaxation, so don't forget that leisure activity as well!

Follow the A38 towards Bridgwater, then follow the A39 towards Minehead.
Ignor all the signs to Blue Anchor until you get to Carhampton.
At Carhampton turn right onto the B3191 to Blue Anchor, carry on down to the sea for just over a mile
cross the (West Somerset Railway) level crossing and then turn immediately left into the West Beach Chalet Car Park, Through the gate is Chalet Number 62 (Gallery Corner).... it's the first chalet (on the right-hand end)

Follow the A358 towards Minehead, at Williton join the A39 carry on towards Minehead.
