A great base to explore Scotland's capital city. The main attractions – The Castle is a 10 minute walk up the Mile and Holyrood is 10 minutes down. You do not need a car when based here. The flat comprises a comfortable lounge (with sofa bed) overlooking the Royal Mile, a luxurious double bedroom, brand new shower room and separate fully equipped kitchen. Ideally suited to 2 people the apartment is an excellent base for a romantic weekend however with sofa bed it can accommodate up to 4. Please note the apartment is on the 2nd floor (US 3rd) in a traditional tenement and there is not a lift. Included in the price are all taxes, electricity and gas, bed linen, towels, internet broadband access and a welcome basket with wine, tea, coffee, milk, sugar, croissant.

Scotland’s capital is one of the most beautiful and atmospheric cities in the world with the Castle dominating our incredible skyline. The Royal Mile, where our flat is located, is right in the centre of the Old town-the medieval centre of Edinburgh and an absolutely perfect place to explore our breathtaking City from. The Castle is a 10 minute walk away. With both the Old town and the Georgian New town Edinburgh offers you an amazing range of architectural and cultural experiences. Step out your front door and step back in time. Explore the nooks and crannies of the Royal Mile and you’ll be amazed what you discover - from Mary Kings Close to the Contemporary architecture of the Scottish Poetry Library. The city buzzes in August with a plethora of arts and cultural festivals. There is literally something for everyone from classical ballet to juggling street performers. An ideal place for a short break or having visited we’re sure you will want to come back for a longer period.

Weekend Break
30/11/10, I and my 2 daughters have just had a wonderful long weekend at The Storytelling Apartment, Edinburgh Fiona was there to greet us, and to go through the apartment explaining the heating to us, she also kept in touchwith us to make sure we was ok, the apartment has excellect decor,and the beds was very comfotable there was also a welcoming pack to greet us, The Apartment is in a very good location for all Edinburgh attractions, a lot within walking distance, lots of information in the apartment so no need to wander around for a place to eat or drink, I will be telling peopl to stay here when they need a place in Edinburgh, Thank you Fiona for a lovely Scottish welcolme

Excellent Accomodation
I have just enjoyed a lovely weekend in the storytelling apartment. Fiona was a fabulous host, she sent us "Fiona's favourites" prior to going, a long list of things to do, places to eat etc allowing us to plan our weekend if we wished. We were sent texts in the morning checking our travel arrangements and warning us of the inclement weather ! Fiona greeted us at the apartment and provided a lovely welcome basket. The apartment itself is perfectly located right on the Royal Mile, we really couldn't have wished for a better location. It was a real home from home, very comfortable, very clean and beautifully furnished, I really could not find fault at all. Highly recommended, if I am ever in Edinburgh again I will definitely stay here again and will be passing on the details to my friends. Thank you Fiona for a lovely stay and your warm hospitality.
