Ferrera Park Garden apartment "VistaMar" Sea View is privatally owned with a home from home feeling quality furnishings and fittings Lovely large bed in bedroom and sofabed in lounge a new bathroom has been fitted January 2011 and a large TV DVD with Sky freeview in the lounge A selection of dvds and CDs for you to enjoy
The Patio door opens to your own private garden with sea view where you can sit ,eat and cook alfresco while you watch the boats sail by The complex has its own pool that overlookes the bay with direct access into the sea
It is set between the coves of Cala Esmerelda approx two mins walk and cala ferrera
Cala Ferrera has a beach bar that is open on a night until 12 midnight so its ideal for those with restless children to sit and enjoy a drink while the children play in the sand
Cala Ferrera is near cala dor, there the coves have crystal clear water and soft sand that gently slopes into the sea and excellent beachbars with friendlty staff. Although Cala Ferrera has many restaurants bars and shops Cala Dor is the place to head for on an evening about 10mins walk or two mins taxi. There are pedestrian streets full of candlelit outside restaurants serving a wide choice of food. The Marina is full of the most expensive yaughts and motor boats and provides a pleasent place to sit and watch the world go by. Cala Dor was originally a small majorcan fishing village. It's retained its charm (no high rise buildings) mostly painted white and never far from a beach. There are many local markets and whether you choose to stay by the pool or explore the island Cala Ferrera is the ideal base. Many people return year after year.
Weather: Between May and October it's virtually sunny all the time with very little rain in july and august it can be very hot even on a night in the winter months you can get lovely days but a bit cooler on a night. We were swimming in the sea this January.

The property can be let out of season and can provide an ideal base for touring the island although many places close in cala Dor at the beginning of November, it can be lovely for those that want a quiet retreat in pleasent weather with beautiful srroundings. The beaches will be quiet but the day can be warm and evenings a bit cooler.

had a lovely holiday this January couldnt believe that we could sit outside on the beach and even swam in the sea though it was freezing enjoyed the log fire on an evening perfect time of year to visit the island and thank you to Rick Stein for suggesting we visit Alaro perfect roast lamb but scary mountain drive we will be back in April
The best holiday ever!
Me and 3 friends wanted a girly holiday together as a final goodbye after finishing college together, and Cala Dor was perfect. It is certainly a holiday we will not forget! From the moment we arrived we felt at home, met the most funniest bar man in the bar Carabels thats just down the road, where happy hour is taken to the extream more like happy 4hours. Brilliant value for money!
The square is a great atmosphere aswell where everyone tourists and locals all meet to have drinks and a dance!
and what better way to get over a hangover than a 2min walk from the apartment to a gorgeous beach, sitting in the sun, and swimming in clear water!
The apartment was perfect for us and in the perfect location for us to enjoy all the features of Cala Dor. two of us slept in the bedroom and 2 of us could sleep on the sofa bed however the bed in the bedroom could have fit us all in, it was so big! The apartment also has a big TV with sky for if we fancied a lazy Night in!
was everything we wanted and more!
will defo be returning and cant wait to see the friends we made out there again!

Great location, next to the sea. Pool, sea and beach 1 minute walk. Lovely apartment, with its own little Garden with an amazing view, great for a mid day lunch or an evening sangria under the fairy lights and stars with only the sound of the sea. Close to fantastic resturants and great shops. Fantastic holiday, going back in June!!!

@hotmthank you Lynn and Alan for the use of your lovely apartment we felt so comfortable and at home with the children
The beach bar was excellent for us on an evening as we could relax and enjoy a drink on the evening while the children played next to us on the beach I would certainly reccomend it
We also put a little paddling pool in the garden so we could sit and watch the sea while baby kept cool in the shaded garden we ate all our meals in the garden we will be back next year

thanks for suggesting the speed boat hire what fun we took it for 4 hrs and visited all the little coves had a drink and swim and back into the boat
Visited San Salvador up the mountain with excellent views and went to es trech looked like carabian If it wasnt for your guide book we wouldnt have found these places hope our experience helps future guests have some good days out
We didnt get to Alaro but after reading the other guests comments we must go next time
returning 2012
Happy now all booked to return this August third year running feels like home now
