This charming stone house is comprised of three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a downstairs toilet. It has a modern kitchen, lounge/dinning room and TV room. A beautiful conservatory overlooks the garden and there is a covered area outside for eating. Montaillac is situated on a high ridge with wonderful views over the countryside so plenty of walks and horse ridding is near by. It is approx 2km from the nearest village of Loubes Bernac with a post office, mini shop and bar / pizzeria (take away available). There are traditional markets in Duras (8 km) Ste.Foy-la-Grande (12 km) and is surrounded by local vineyards.
The country side is beautiful and the villages picturesque. The quiet roads of the area are great for walking and cycling and canoes can be hired on the Dordogne and Drop rivers. The area is famous for its excellent wine (St Emilion, Pomerol, Bergerac, Monbazillac etc). There are châteaux, old churches, caves and rivers to explore. For golf lovers there is the excellent 18 hole course at Château des Vigiers (5km). This is a luxury club and offers a full range of pamper / beauty treatments) and 10 holes at Golf de Marmande (10km).
