Description

Wight Cottage is a beautiful, newly renovated Victorian terraced house ideal for a family holiday, crew let or a corporate shore base sleeping 8 people, ideal for a week or weekend away. The cottage is a 5 minute walk to the centre of Cowes close to all marinas, shops, restaurants and pubs avoiding all Cowes infamous hills and also a close walk to North Cowes and Gurnard beeches.

The bedrooms can be set as doubles, twins or triples, there are 2 luxury bathrooms plus all linen and towels are provided to make your stay as easy as possible. The house has a dining room that can seat 8 people and a fully equipped kitchen. The living room has wireless broadband, LCD 32 inch freeview TV, DVD and Hi-fi with ipod connection. The Large split level secluded garden is equipped with BBQ, outdoor lighting and wooden dining furniture for enjoyable outdoor entertaining .

The Isle of Wight is a great place to visit. In some ways time has stood still, with Osbourne House, Carisbrooke Castle and many other timeless attractions. On the other hand, it's where the worlds yachtsmen and women come to compete against the very best, whilst pitting themselves against the complex tides and winds of the Solent (not forgetting to party hard and long afterwards!) for some of the top cups in the world.

However, the Isle Of Wight is not just about sailing. The chance to walk on high cliffs in both sun and storm toss'd sea before you, may make the visit worthwhile for you. The wealth of really good quality restaurants and convivial pubs may also make you feel at home. This is a destination for any time of year, be it a family break, or an oasis of peace. Wight Cottage can give you all of this.

Holiday lets are by the week(unless by prior arrangement) from 3pm on the date of arrival to 10am on the date of departure.

Upon confirmation of booking, a binding contract is created between us for the full rental and a non-returnable 50% payment of the full rental charge plus the security deposit (£100) is due by return post. We require a UK landline telephone number and address to secure bookings. Saturday to Saturday is the standard let, however, we are happy to discuss alternative booking periods with you.

The balance of the rental must be received by us six weeks before the rental commences. In the event that full payment is not received by this date we reserve the right to cancel the booking and re-allocate the property, though the balance remains due. For bookings made within six weeks of the rental, 100% of the rental plus the security deposit is due by return before we can confirm the booking. Security deposits will be returned within 10 days of the return of the keys to the owner, less any deductions against breakages, damages and any cleaning if it should be necessary. We can accept payment by cheque or bank transfer,

These details form part of your booking terms and you should read the above information carefully to ensure that you fully understand your obligations. We strongly recommend you take out comprehensive holiday insurance. We also recommend booking ferry travel as soon as possible, especially around Bank Holidays and when music festivals are taking place. Red funnel is the ferry that serves Cowes.

Rates for Easter,Xmas & New Year, Cowes Week, Combined Metre and Classic Keelboat Regatta, JP Morgan Round The Island Race ISC, Little Britain Challenge Cup, Swan European Regatta, The Banking and Finance Regatta, The Silicon Cup/IT regatta and The Isle of Wight Festivals are available on application.

The house has a large secluded rear garden split in to 2 levels with a seaside theme. On the lower level there is dining for 4-6 people. On the upper level there is secluded dining for 8-10 people with a BBQ, hammock and deck chairs.
There is rear access to the garden for safe bike and pram storage.
Parking is available on site with a space for a car no longer than 4.5.meters and on public streets opposite the house

Directions

Cowes is a wonderful town and has many moods. Cowes Week, Little Britain and the Red Funnel event at Easter are the headline events, though there are many other sailing regattas from March to September each year.

But Cowes is more than that. It is very much the live connection to the whole Island, a base from which the whole Island can be explored and enjoyed, from Ventnor and St Catherines Point, to Bembridge, to the Needles. The Island is a place of contrast. Enjoy it all from your central base in Cowes!

Cowes itself has a wide range of cafes, pubs and restaurants, to suit every taste and budget. There are excellent food and hostelry outlets, from traditional pubs to Indian, Chinese, Italian, or even take a river taxi in the summer to the Folley Inn on the Medina River near Whippingham, for a great night out, for possibly the best steaks on the IOW!.
