Description
The house is in a pretty location in Newry, surrounded by the Mourne Mountains. It is an ideal place to discover the beauty of Cloughoge. The area has a history of continuous settlement dating back to 4000 BC. It has numerous historic buildings like the beautiful Georgian houses, a cathedral that dates back to the 1830s and a unique town hall built over the Clanyre River. The apartment is located between Dublin and Belfast, both are 40 minute drive away from the property.
The house has a patio equipped with furniture with views of the countryside and mountains. Guests can use the parking area which is good for 2 cars.
The area is near the Kingdom of Mourne. There are majestic mountains, blue seas and sandy beaches nearby. The Carlingford Lough region is ideal for angling, sailing, golfing and forest walks. It is known for its sub-tropical flora and Old World charm.
There are many first class golf courses within a 10 mile radius such as
Ballymascanlon, Dundalk Golf Club and Kilkeel Golf Club. There are other clubs in County Down / Armagh and County Louth.
The airport is 1 hour drive away, while it takes a 50 min. drive to reach the Dublin airport. Traveling to Dundalk and Newcastle takes 20 and 40 minutes, respectively.
Newry is a small city on the east coast of Ireland and lies on the direct route between Belfast and Dublin. Newry lies in the valley of the Clanrye River, between two mountain ranges: the Mourne Mountains and the Cooley Mountains. The area provides an excellent base for visitors to explore South Armagh.
