Description
Les Prunelles is a new, individually designed, recently completed one storey house, newly furnished in a contemporary style.
The house sits on a one acre plot bordered by Prunelle (Sloe) bushes with superb views across countryside and the canal du Rhone au Rhin. During the summer months many boats can be seen using a lock on the canal from the living room and front bedrooms. Along the canal is a designated cycle and walking route which forms part of the national network.
Les Prunelles is perfect for one or two families as well as being convenient for small parties,couples and those who find stairs difficult.
The large garden is a wonderful play space for children with secluded sitting and sunbathing areas.
The owners do not live on site but near St Jean de Losne and are available if needed.

Les Prunelles
Many thanks to Rosemary and John for providing a wonderful holiday home. We have spent two very relaxing weeks in a very comfortable,spotlessly clean house with everything you could possibly need and more.
There is plenty to keep the explorer happy, with visits to Beaune, Dijon and many other towns and villages,including the Jura Mountains.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this house to anyone who wants to have a perfect holiday.

Lovely holiday home
What a lovely peaceful haven Les Prunelles is! We had a lovely week here enjoying cycling along the canal, Dijon, Beaune and Nuit St Georges.
The house is clean and spacious just like the photos. Rosemary and John were there to greet us after our late arrival and have provided every thing you could possibly need.
The pool was great and wonderfully clean.
Wonderful Villa - most recommendable !
We have experienced a wonderful week at ‘Les Prunelles’. The owners, John and Rosemary were there to welcome us to their Villa which was in perfect condition. The spaciousness and modern interior made it soon ‘our home’ where we felt very much at ease. The kitchen, living, bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and were well equipped. The comfortable swimming pool we found very safe for our 3 year old son and our 6 year old daughter never wanted to leave the pool. Most enjoyable for the whole family! The garden was large and gave us a true feeling of privacy.
The owners provided us tips for visits in the area and were very helpful when necessary. We have visited plenty of nice villages and town in the area.
CONCLUSION: Most recommendable property to hire – We have booked Les Prunelles again for 2011 -
Burgundy made enjoyable
Les Prunelles met our particular needs for a property on one level in a peaceful, rural location; walks and grounds for our pet dog; a kitchen equipped for cooking; a location to visit cote d'or and jura; an outside shaded eating area; and the pool was a real treat and bonus given the hot weather. A well-designed practical and functional modern property representing good value for money which will now be difficult to beat.
Les Prunelles
We had a wonderful time in the Cote D'or, the accommodation is excellent and the owners have thought of everything from a welcome pack to an array of bicycles, with lots of information about the surrounding area. The actual location is idyllic, it is also an excellent base to discover Burgundy.
We have every intention of returning to this beautiful house and have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone in the knowledge that they would have a fantastic vacation.
Les Prunelles
We had a great time in a wonderful, brand new house. The photographs in the Internet give an exact likeness of the house and its surroundings.
The location is perfect for fishing, the canal is 30 m away from the house. There are 4 bicycles for little trips, but you need a car to go shopping. The next village Losne is a beautiful place. Dijon and Dole are the next big cities. The owners of the house are very friendly. Its a quiet place and the kids will have a great time there. The house has a beautiful garden with a swimming pool.
We have already recommended the house to our friends and hope to come back soon.
Nice roomy house in the cote d
As the pictures show it is a roomy house with a very nice ambience and that is the reason that we choose it. The owners were very helpful. The only negative remark that can be made is that the bed(s) were too small to our liking. Facilities ( kitchen, bathrooms, swimmingpool , barbeque etc) however were 100% OK.
The situation is quiet in an agricultural area. Nice places to visit are Beaune, Dijon , Dole and the borders of the river Loue and the Saline Royal. For dinner we can recommand 'Le Grevy" in Dole for the notable good price-quality of its set lunch menu, the nearby new one star restaurant Chateau du Mont Joly and the terras of "L 'Amiral "in St Jean de Losne for its cheerful service.
Nice house
We have had a nice trip in the very fine house. It was completely as expected. It was clean and very homely. It was well-maintained with fx bicycles, deckchairs, a highchair for children, cot, etc. And the swimmingpool was absolutely top.
The nature around the house with the canal, the cycle path along the canal was very beautiful.
The owner provide a good customer service. They are a very kindly and nice.
When we booked the house, the owner was very fast to answer our questions.
We would recommend this property to our family and friends. We already have recommended it.
Les Prunelles
This is a very well equipped house in an attractive location, ideal for either a family with lots of energy - you could reach Budapest on the canal cycle path on the four bikes provided - or older groups wanting a comfortable place to stay in a quiet area which is accessible to some very interesting towns within a reasonable distance - Beaune, Dijon, Besancon and lots of splendid vineyards. The local restaurants are good - though let's hope for a stronger pound in the near future, particularly when it comes to the wine list. It would be nice if you could walk to one but you do have to drive to all of them (or cycle!). The same applies to shops but the advertisment is quite clear that a car is essential. This is not for those seeking pulsating nightlife but it offers a quiet, restful ambience and the canal is both very pretty and the boats and their owners are an infinite source for those who enjoy constructing their own versions of the relationships and histories of those they observe.
We wanted a house with somewhere comfortable to sit, plenty of bathrooms, good labour saving equipment, a nice garden to enjoy the fine weather and a pool in which to relax and cool down. This delivered all our requirements and then some. Rosemary and John are excellent hosts who have given the property a lot of care and attention in its design and they have provided generous quantities of cutlery, china, linen and towels. They also delivered a week of perfect weather though I understand this is not something they can guarantee for all renters. Certainly somewhere that I would highly recommend, we enjoyed ourselves very much. Like Ronseal this delivers exactly what it says on the tin.
