The apartment is situated in this quiet golfing location of Costa de Almeria wherein shops, bars and restaurants are within easy distance by car or is just a stroll along the coastal stretch of Andalucia where the beautiful Marina within the Mediterranean waters and exquisite scenery is set with Sierra Nevada Mountains as the superb backdrop which is very ideal for skiing on the snow covered tops in the winter months.
The city of Almeria which is a region steeped in traditional festivities and gastronomic delights is the most Eastern capital of Andalucia with a coast line overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Its coastline boasts of beautiful, stunning beaches where a wide range of water sports can be enjoyed such as sailing, scuba diving, windsurfing and fishing. However the area is also protected for its wildlife and has a designated National Park in the area. The area of Almeria offers something for everyone within a short distance by car including the historical towns for sightseeing, cathedrals and museums, villages of cave-houses and quaint towns such as Nijir known for pottery making.
There is also the popular city of Granada which is only a car distance away and perfect for the children for there is a Mini Hollywood near Tabernas ideal for a day out where the Spaghetti Westerns were made in the Spanish Deserts.
Also nearby is the beautiful resort of Almerimar a thirty minute drive from Almeria airport on the Costa de Almeria overlooking the Mediterranean and backed by the Sierra Nevada. Almerimar hosts the oldest Gary Player designed Golf Course in Andalucia. It also offers local craft shops around the harbor, local supermarkets for an ideal self catering holiday and the nearby El Ejido which provides entertainment such as cinema, shopping and go-karting for the young and old. There are also the local festivals and celebrations held throughout the year. As for those who have never visited this region, Almerimar provides a wonderful, idyllic town for local nightlife and ambience in a coastal setting of Spain.
Other leisure activities on offer include horse riding, water sports, windsurfing all throughout the year and for the less active there is the marina and yacht harbour offering a beautiful place to sit and relax with a drink or to take a boat trip. Bars and restaurants serving a variety of international foods or local Spanish food also surround the marina and provide a fantastic location to enjoy the coastal town.

Directions
Almeria is the nearest airport approximately 30 mins to Almerimar. Alternately, the route from Malaga is along some of the beautiful coastal roads of Spain and although this is a longer route it makes for a leisurely drive. Granada takes approximately 2 hours but is the most straight forward route by motorway.
A car is recommended for your visit as the apartment is situated in a quiet area of Almerimar
