Nestled in mature olive groves above Avlaki Bay, with breath-taking views over the headlands of northeast Corfu, Villa Aurora provides an ideal setting for the perfect family holiday. Relax in privacy on the terrace or by the pool and gaze across the olive groves at the flickering sea, the lighthouse on the islet of Kaparelli and the mountains of Albania beyond. Set in an acre of grounds, with mature gardens, Aurora offers seclusion yet all essential holiday amenities are close by. The unspoiled beach of Avlaki, with its two excellent tavernas, is within walking distance whilst the fashionable restaurants of Agios Stefanos and the lively resort of Kassiopi are 5 - 10 minutes’ drive. In its fifth year of rental, Aurora is contemporary furnished and provides spacious, well-appointed accommodation, ideal for two families holidaying together. The swimming pool (10 x 5m, depth 1.0 - 1.9m) is surrounded by a large patio. Dinghy sailing, windsurfing and boat hire are available on Avlaki beach.
The property will be cleaned twice a week during the rental period.

The terrace leads down to a large patio area by the swimming pool (10 x 5m, depth 1.0 - 1.9m). The sun loungers may be shaded from the mid day sun by the olive trees and the large cantilever parasol. The property is set in an acre of ground amidst mature olive groves. The garden has come on a lot in the last few years but we are always planting. We would be eternally grateful to any guests offering a cooling drink to any parched plants at the end of the day. |

necessary Villa Aurora is located on a hillside in the middle of olive groves. Although its not too far from anything, a car is necessary to make the most of you holiday. There are plenty of hire companies at the airport €40-€55 per day) or you could take a taxi to the villa (approx €60) and hire a car locally. It is possible to share a four-seater car between 8 as most of the tavernas are close enough to shuttle between. It is best to book early as there can be a shortage in the peak summer months. |

Coast/beach The road that leads to Aurora continues as a unmade track through the olive groves to Avlaki bay. The white pebble beach and crystal clear water are exhilarating. Sun beds and umbrellas are available and the two excellent beachfront tavernas, will keep you replete throughout the day. Hiring a motor boat is a fun way to explore the idyllic coves that are the signature of North East Corfu’s beauty. The North coast (ten minutes’ drive) has many slowly shelving sandy beaches, ideal for young children. Local activities Greek Sailing Holidays, established in Corfu in 1995, offers dinghy sailing and windsurfing hire and tuition in the warm Mediterranean holiday environment of Avlaki. The light winds in the mornings are ideal for sailing instruction. Fresher conditions prevail in the afternoon enabling novices to practice their newly acquired skills and opportunities for more experienced sailors. Corfu Divers is a PADI registered dive centre in Kassiopi offering the complete set of PADI dive qualifications starting with Discover Scuba all the way to Dive Master. In addition, guided snorkelling tours are organised daily off one of the three reefs of Kassiopi. Dimitris horse riding (just inland from Avlaki beach) offers a variety of horse riding tours, for children and adults from beginners to experienced riders, within the beautiful Erimitis peninsular. The school has been created with rescued horses and each has its own story. The recently refurbished Hydropolis water park is situated on the north coast of the island, attached to Gelina Village & Resort, just before the village of Acharavi, about 20 minutes’ drive. The larger Aqualand water theme park, at Agios Ioannis in the centre of Corfu, is approximately one-hour’s drive and is great fun for all the family. Eating out The highlight of any Greek holiday has to be sitting by the water’s edge on a warm summer evening, savouring freshly prepared local produce, as the moon reflects on the waves breaking gently on the shore. Villa Auroa is conveniently located close to some of the best restaurants and tavernas in North East Corfu. Just below the villa on Avlaki bay are Cavo Barbaro and Avlaki Taverna, both serving meals from freshly cooked local produce. Above the Villa, in Sinies, is Tavernaki that specialises in traditional Corfiot dishes and provides a home delivery service. The picturesque bay of Agios Stephanos is a short drive (taxi ride), where there is an excellent choice of restaurants, Tavernas and bars, including Eucalyptus Taverna, Kaparelli Taverna run by Costas and Galini Taverna run by Nikos. There are one or two bars, that the teenagers can retreat to, whilst their parents enjoy a local coffee. The small fishing village of Kassiopi offers an even greater variety of tavernas and bars and one or two nightclubs. Amongst the best in the area is Trilogia Restaurant, around the headland with excellent food and magnificent sunsets. A fun alternative is to travel to Agni by water taxi from Agios Stephanos where there are three famous restaurants: Agni Taverna, Toula’s and Nikolas, each outstanding in different ways. For those very special celebrations catering arrangements can include the delivery of a freshly prepared supper or the assistance of a local cook to prepare a meal for you. Outstanding Holiday
Villa Aurora is simply exquisite! We have just returned from a wonderful family holiday and cannot speak highly enough of the property and its surroundings. The standard of the accommodation is extremely high and has everything one could need. Outside, the pool area is safe and luxurious. The area in which the villa lies is perfect for lazy summer days with friendly local bars, tavernas and shops. Highly recommended!
Beautiful villa / Beautiful location
Just looking through our holiday photos and wish we were still there! We stayed in villa Aurora for 3 weeks this August and I honestly can't fault it. The villa was immaculately presented, and has a real "wow" factor when you walk through the door. All the bedrooms are roomy and beautifully decorated. The pool area is inviting and spacious, and with our 3 small children we spent plenty of time jumping in and out of the water! The villa's location is a perfect mix of being virtually totally secluded, but also a short trip in the car to shops and beaches. We totally fell in love with this part of the world, and hope to return one day. Thanks Charles and Natushka for making our holiday so easy and straight-forward, with cots and highchairs etc...! We would recommend this villa to anyone.
