The apartment is located on the 4th floor in a building with five floors. There are only ten apartments in total. There building has a lift. My apartment has three rooms, kitchen, and bathroom. The windows are new, double windows, that protect the apartment from the weather and city noise. The main bedroom has a double bed and faces the street Maybach, is a quiet street. There is also a second bedroom that faces the street Linebacker, this street is a small street. It has one sofa bed that it is possible to open to a king bed. If you need two single beds, we have an extra sofa bed that we can also put in the second bedroom for your convenience.
Cologne is situated on the centre-west part from Germany. You are in the middle of Europe, in less than three hours you will find yourself in one of the popular European cities like Paris, Amsterdam (Holland), Luxemburg, Brussels (Belgium). The cities of Düsseldorf and the ex-capital of Germany, Bonn are reachable within 30 minutes. There is a direct connection with Cologne-Bonn airport and the metro station Hansaring is only 100 meters from the apartment away. The Cologne Fair is only two train stations away, five minutes drive. Easy connection to Düsseldorf and Bonn Fairs.
Cologne has a lot of traffic and the signs are different from other countries. It takes some time to get used to them and this time you do not have. There are also many bicycles that come from nowhere; they do not respect traffic lights. Public transport is very good, yes, but you do not want to spend your precious time waiting for the next station or changing trains. If you do have a car and you think that if you leave outside the city centre it will be not problem, well you are going to be convinced pretty soon that it is very difficult and expensive to find parking places on the street. You have to go to a car parking. The best thing is not to bring a car with you. But if you have a car, do not touch during your stay unless you are going to a remote place.

The apartment is in the centre. You can arrive by car, train or plane and as soon you see a sign Cologne, it will take you around 15 minutes to be on the spot.
Good Stay in Cologne
good location, very central. very good to reach by tram, train or by feet.
Location was clean, has good place for up to 5 people. Fair price for this city. Got very good communication with owner by e-mail, (thanks to you, alessandra) quick answer, no problem to get the key. A very tipical italian restaurant directly in the same house,
I was there now for 4 times, during the last year and will come back sure.

Now that the dust has settled and we are both back at work and feel like we have never even been away!!! I am just writing a quick email to thank you for the use of the apartment and all the helpful tips you gave us along the way – it certainly was beyond a normal “landlord’s” realm.
We had a great time in Cologne, what a lovely city – we certainly made use of the transport network, and made our way quite happily every day out to the ACR centre and even out to St Augustine on the train. It really is a great system – Australia certainly lacks in this area (especially Brisbane)!!
Anyway, thanks very much – Birmingham 2012 is the next World Masters so will be looking for an apartment there if you have any contacts in the UK – it certainly is the best way to stay in our view.

Just got a chance to respond to your email. We absolutely loved staying in your apartment!!! We were so happy there : ) I loved the Latin decorations too! I left you a little present to make your great apartment an even better place for your guests to feel at home....it was a really neat universal adapter for the electical outlet I found at the fair in Dusseldorf...I left it in the Che room. It works with any electrical plug type from around the world to convert to the European style. I wrote you a thank-you note on the device with a marker and asked people not to take it from the apartment. We did forget to remove some food in the refrigerator, but everything else was left in good condition.
Anyways, I just wanted to thank you for all of your help and making your apartment available to us at such a great price. I hope to return someday!
