Two Weeks of Sunny Peace
Villa Acquaviva was comfortably fitted out and squeaky clean. We enjoyed the sunny weather and appreciated the cooling breeze. The pool was good and deep and provided an ideal sun-bathing spot - its salt treatment is much better than standard chlorine. David and Pauline's information folder was a useful source of restaurant and activity recommendations and included good sets of directions. The hosts' presence was polite and attentive without being intrusive. The white wine they supply is the perfect holiday drink.

Another Brilliant Stay
Well, perhaps the best comment I can make is that my husband and I have been married for 13 years and this is the first holiday destination we have ever returned to... I think that probably says it all really. This is our second visit and we were not disappointed! We love Abruzzo, the people, the food, the countryside - it's all lovely. The villa is clean, in excellent condition and fitted with all those little extras you really appreciate - like a bottle of wine on your arrival! David and Pauline are fab hosts who really can't do enough to make your stay just as you like it! The surrounding area is quite untouched by tourism making it a delightful place to discover and we enjoyed returning to places we went last year and visiting new ones. We have in the past and will continue to regularly recommend this holiday to friends and family. Thanks to David and Pauline for all their efforts! You are stars!

A Glimpse of Heaven
There is a saying 'It does what it says on the tin...' this far exceeds anything the brochure says. Beautiful setting, clean, lovely villa perfectly furnished and equipped, and Hosts for which nothing is too much trouble. Information so clear and concise that even I could understand it! Don't bother looking for any other wine than that obtained from David and Pauline! In fact, don't even bother looking for any other villa - you won't find better.
We'd highly recommend this to any couple looking for peace, beauty, good food and breathtaking scenery. Words cannot adequately describe this place - just try it for yourselves. We'll be back!!!! xxxxxxx

A Truly Outstanding Exeprience for our Holiday
On arrival at the villa our first impressions of the villa well exceeded our already very high expectations. David and Pauline greeted us in a most friendly manner and showed us to our villa. The 'guided tour' was professional and yet friendly and as a result we very confidently settled in and unpacked. Within half an hour we were enjoying a glass of Abruzzo vino rosso by the pool and the holiday had started. The villa is extremely well appointed and was finished to the highest standards, including the excellent shower room and mezzanine bedroom, the view from which is outstanding (Our first morning greeted us with a wonderful rosy dawn over the distant mountains).

The terrace is lovely and provided a great place for lunch and eating out at night. We balanced eating in with meals out at some of the lovely ristoranti in the locality. There is really something for every taste and, as the area is not touristically developed, the quality is outstanding and the prices very reasonable (two courses and a litre of vino rosso was approx 30 euros for 2).

David and Pauline offer discrete support in terms of information, directions to places and bookings for restaurants.

The peace and quiet is exquisite and it is possible to while away the hours watching the kites who nest in the nearby trees or the golden eagles that soar high above the ground. The gentle breeze ensures that the temperature does not rise to stifling levels.

The pool is lovely and provides a great opportunity to cool down. Given that there is a maximum of six people around the pool the setting is idyllic.

We have never returned to a place but the fact that we rebooked whilst on our holiday serves as a testament to our views of this fantastic place where the batteries can be fully recharged in this lovely part of this wonderful country.

A Great Experience !
What a great experience! We stayed at these lovely villas for a week and we could not have been happier. Although it was a little difficult tt find, once found it was a wonderful part of paradise. David and Pauline were helpful beyond normal with reservations, directions, and just about anything we requested. If you travel to this part of Abruzzo you have to stop at the villas for a stay.

Fabulous Abruzzo
We very much enjoyed our stay at villasfor2 everything lived up to expectations the views are spectacular and the villa was first class with everything you require for a self-catering break.Eating out is cheap with average cost of 2 course meal for 2 with wine 35 euros.

David and Pauline’s attention to detail made our preparations easier, our travelling less stressful, Abruzzo more accessible, our apartment comfortable and our holiday extra special.

A month before our holiday I was very pleased to receive a pack of information from them which not only gave directions to the villa in great detail, but tips on driving in Italy, where to pick up supplies nearby, and other helpful hints and reminders. Having never driven in Italy before, these helped a lot.
On the subject of driving I can certainly recommend the Garmin system for this location, it was a big help. Combined with David’s directions and a backup map we managed extensive exploration of the local area!

Rather than repeat the glowing reports of the clean and tidy villa, lovely pool and so on, I will simply say that I concur.

When we wanted to book restaurant tables, David kindly made reservations for us, even checking with them that they could cater for specific dietary requirements. Whenever we needed advice on an aspect of our stay, whether it was shopping or days out exploring, David and Pauline were very approachable and helped us immensely.

We visited places and saw things we would have found it very difficult to unearth were it not for them. If you want a taste of Italy in its ‘unspoilt’ state, you’ll be in the right place.

Rust en ruimte in de Abruzzen
Stel je voor: je wordt wakker van... de stilte. Je stapt uit je bed, loopt de trap af en zet koffie met de percolator die in het huisje aanwezig is. Terwijl je wacht tot de koffie begint te pruttelen zit je op de bank met een boek en kijk je naar het onwerkelijke, adembenemende uitzicht: een heuveltje hier, een dalletje daar, overal olijfbomen, in de verte hier en daar een verzameling huisjes, rechts bergen en als je links kijkt vang je een glimp op van de Adriatische zee. Je geniet van je ontbijt en de heerlijke koffie terwijl het mooie zwembad lonkt. Het is onontkoombaar: daarin neem je straks een duik. Kortom: de locatie is geweldig. De Abruzzen zijn nog redelijk ongerept (nog niet echt aangetast door het massatoerisme). De "villa's" zijn mooi, netjes en zuiver, en van alle gemakken voorzien. David en Pauline zijn perfectionisten, dat merk je aan alles. Ook aan hun hartelijke ontvangst en hun voortdurende gastvrijheid. Met alle vragen kun je bij ze terecht en ze maken graag tijd voor een praatje. Maar privacy is ook belangrijk, daar zijn ze zich terdege van bewust. Wij voelden ons zeer welkom in een omgeving waarin alles voor handen is: natuur, cultuur, strand, bergen (tip: na een hete dag aan het zwembad is het heerlijk om een frisse bergwandeling te maken. Vraag maar aan David en Pauline, zij draaien graag wat relevante informatie voor je uit).

First Visit to Villa Aquaviva
The listing description was clear and accurate, if anything slightly under-stated. The impression on arrival, in addition to the impact of the location, was of a well-appointed and tidy facility.
A particular feature of the holiday was the quality of the welcome from David and Pauline: Friendly but not over-bearing, helpful and eager that we should enjoy the full experience. They quickly assess what each couple want and need from their holiday. For us it was relaxation by the pool, local small restaurants, exploration of the National Park, visits to historic villages, churches and castles. A particular feature for us was to be included in local events and enjoy local hospitality.
We would certainly recommend Villasfor2 to our friends, and hope to return.

Romantic, Relaxing, Idyllic Location
Four days at villasfor2 was a bit like having a sip of a very fine wine - it left us instantly wanting more. Waking up to the breath taking views was the best start to every day. It was simply idyllic. We have never stayed anywhere more relaxing - it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop!
The villas were impeccably clean and finished to a very high standard. Dave and Pauline had clearly put a lot of thought into the little extras, so we had no need to leave the villa for the first 24hours! Am quite proud that we broke the record for being the fastest openers of the fine Pecorino wine that they presented with :) The pool and sunshine were just delicious and for the first time in our lives, we didn't think or worry about work.
Dave and Pauline were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, from recommending and booking restaurants (now got to figure out how to lose the pizza weight I gained - but well worth it!) to finding out where we could watch our beloved football team on the television! I have already recommended the experience to several friends - and we only got back last night! Without a doubt, we envisage ourselves making it our regular holiday destination.

Truly Relaxing Holiday
Just arrived back in the UK from the most relaxing holiday ever. The views from the pool and your very own terrace are absolutely superb - the photos don't lie. The weather was fantastic, with sunny blue skies every day.
Even though the other two villas were full for part of the time of our holiday, you never felt overcrowded around the pool as there plenty of space for the sun lounges, and most days because everyone did their own thing there was maybe only few hours when all six of us was around the pool.
The owners David and Pauline live in the next property, which is extremely haelpful for directions and suggestions for the days activities. Their knowledge of the area is second to none, with every restaurant they suggested being superb and extremely welcoming.
Took a trip up to the mountains, about 50 minute drive along a road with the most superb views. When we got up there we were treated to alpine countryside and gorgeous views. A truly fantastic day.
We also took a day trip to Rome, which David and Pauline organised including booking the coach and informing of us where to get on the bus and what we would expect. They took all the stresses away not just from this trip but from the whole holiday.
My girlfriend and I would suggest this holiday to anyone who wants to relax, explore, and enjoy the true Italian culture!

A Little Piece of Paradise
If you are looking for peace and tranquility, this is the place to go! We are just home from a totally relaxing holiday which was much needed. David and Pauline are perfect hosts who will go above and beyond their duty to help you have an amazing holiday. David's directions to and from airports (Rome, in our case) and local towns and restaurants are invaluable. Their recommendations were superb and you will be surprised how cheap the local restaurants are. It is untouched by tourism and everyone is extremely friendly (a special mention to Paolo who has a beautiful restaurant!). All your needs are catered for and it is very difficult to tear yourself away from the patio, the views are spectacular! Although a car is essential, it really is not difficult to access local shops, mountains and beaches. A fantastic lifestyle, can't wait to return! Wish we were there!!!

Prachtige Locatie
Wij zijn de eerste Nederlanders geweest, die deze villa hebben bezocht. En...het was geweldig! David en Pauline zorgen voor alles: keurig meubilair, prima bedden, een prachtig terras en een uitstekend onderhouden zwembad. Er is veel informatie beschikbaar over eetgelegenheden, stadjes en andere bezienswaardigheden. Wij kunnen met een gerust hart deze heerlijke plek aanbevelen. Vanuit Eindhoven vlieg je met Ryanair naar Pescara en voor je het weet ben je er.

Real Unspoilt Italy
The Villa was simply furnished and immaculate with wonderful views over the beautiful pool set amidst the olive groves.The Adriatic coast was about 1/2 hours drive, and the surrounding mountains (snow capped at the time of our visit in mid May) provided some inspiring drives, and a wealth of beautiful flowers including orchids,gentians etc. Mass tourism has passed the area by, and the many little hill towns and villages were quiet and charming. The owners were unfailingly helpful in providing any local information required.

Thanks for an Unforgettable Experience !
We spent part of our honeymoon at Villasfor2 and were blown away by the views. Admiring the sweeping scenery of tiny villages twinkling under the moonlight over a bottle of local vino and waking to postcard views of the mountains is a wonderful way to watch the world go by. We took a picnic to Gessopalena - highly recommended - and really enjoyed to whole adventure of being 'off the beaten path'. Be sure to have dinner at La Cena - fantastic food. David & Pauline are very warm and give you lots of great info on the area and how to get around. The lofts are perfect for two people, modern but with rustic charm. And the olive oil in the villa is from the trees on the property! Thanks so much for the unforgettable experience.

Abruzzolutely Great !
A real find. Fantastic location, amazing views, quiet and peaceful. Our villa was very well-equipped and spotless. Liked the bottle of wine 'on the house' and tea, cofee, sugar, etc provided as standard. Pool is lovely with plenty of room for sunbeds and umbrellas. Owners David and Pauline gave us excellent directions from Pescara Airport and were very helpful suggesting places to eat (and making bookings for us), sightseeing etc. We appreciated the fact they were there if needed, but non-intrusive The surrounding area is unspoilt and not touristy.People are very friendly. Basically we just had a super relaxing week in this perfect location and would happily recommend it to anyone.

Our Stay in Villa Acquaviva
We spent a very enjoyable week in the Villa Aquaviva in early September. The villa was clean and bright, well equipped and thoughtfully stocked with coffee, a bottle of wine etc. Best of all, it had a fantastic view.

Hosts David and Pauline were very friendly and always on hand (but never intrusive), and were endlessly helpful with directions and local info.

There were plenty of interesting towns and sights nearby to explore and we enjoyed the accessibility of the Majella National Park with its fantastic mountain views. In all honesty though it took a lot to tear us away from the peace of the pool overloooking the hillside, especially in the brilliantly sunny weather.

Thanks for such a peaceful and relaxing holiday.
