Description
Located on top of a historic building on the main shopping street downtown Catania, the key point of our apartment is having lots of external space, which is so rare downtown: Catania is a city where you can stay outside for most of the year. We have tried to maintain key historic elements as much as possible, combining them with some comfort: all floors are the original ones dating back to the late 19th century, and we have changed almost all furniture as of July 2011. You also have a fully equipped kitchen, so when you do not want to try one of the many restaurants in this area you can also cook at home, buying food directly from producers at the market a few steps away.
There is a lift in our building. Basically you can walk to all amenities downtown Catania and use public transportation to visit other towns, but there also is plenty of parking space all around this area if you want to hire a car (free overnight).
Since Winter 2011, Easyjet flies you directly from London Gatwick to Catania at reasonable rates all the year round. You can also reach Catania from many other destinations in Europe through Milan Malpensa (MXP). This airport offers a free service to passengers who are in transit between two point-to-point flights: they transfer your luggage for free to your second flight and you are also given priority at security checks for your second flight.

You can reach the main railway station and bus terminal by public transportation, and from there you can move across the east of Sicily using an extensive network of intercity coaches. The bus to/from the airport stops a few metres away of our building door. |

Shopping: our street is one of the main shopping streets downtown Catania for clothes: all the most important Italian stylists have resellers on this street. Monuments: you have fine Baroque architecture and ancient Roman monuments within walking distance, let alone that our building is a monument itself. We really cater for many different tastes!
