The Quinta da Boa Nova townhouse is a two-bedroom property that has been beautifully furnished throughout with fully equipped kitchen. It is a beautifully landscaped complex between Caroeiro and Ferragudo in the Lagoa area of the Algarve.
The property is a modern and beautifully furnished home in a Mexican style by the owners. The two double ensuite bedrooms are on the upper floor. The main bedroom has a double bed while the second bedroom has two single beds. Both rooms have ample wardrobe space. Downstairs consists of a spacious lounge/dining area, additional shower room and a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and utility room.
The terrace to the front with outdoor furniture overlooks the Monchique mountains. The property has mosquito screens, electric shutters and underfloor heating throughout. The complex currently boasts two tennis courts for free use by all guests, a large pool area with separate children's pool, sunloungers and umbrellas. The bar area is also adjacent to the pool which serves restaurant meals. The adjoining restaurant is scheduled for opening by end of 2010. There is ample car parking for the guests who will hire a car.
The property also boasts its facilities inside the property. The terrace off the lounge is furnished with a large glass topped round table and four comfortable easy chairs which overlooks the Monchique Mountains and the beautifully designed and immaculately maintained gardens of Boa Nova. The property has a non smoking policy but smoking is permitted on the terrace.
The lounge has a 32' LG Plasma TV with Freesat SKY TV and a DVD Player. In the kitchen there is an Hitachi HIFi Micro System with all linen and towels provided. Maid service can be arranged if required but guests are welcome to use the laundry facilities in the utility room to suit their needs.
Internet available if required.
Arrival and departure dates outside July and August are flexible allowing guests to benefit from the cheaper flights that are usually available outside the weekend flight dates. Entry on day of arrival is 1400 and exit on day of departure is 1000. Some flexibility on these times could be possible especially for mid week bookings.
Outside the property is a complex of choices to try visiting. There are several restaurants in the locality of Boa Nova and numerous places to eat in Carvoeiro on Restaurant Hill and surrounding streets. Guests will be spoilt for choice as restaurants cover many different nationalities and taste. Fish is obviously a favourite selection as they may eat on the quayside at Ferragudo and sample the freshly caught sardines.
Boa Nova's own restaurant is scheduled for opening by end of 2012. The rooftop dining will have a magnificent 360 degree panoramic view. For guests requiring lighter meals there will also be a snack bar attached.
The pool side bar already serves meals and should guests prefer to dine casually al fresco, the kitchen is equipped to a high standard covering most chef's requirements. Guests may also enjoy the mild evenings on the terrace relaxing and sampling the local wines and port, perfect for a romantic dinner under the stars.
There are at least 12 beautiful sandy beaches in the area. The nearest being Caneiros Beach with its fabulous romantic restaurant on stilts overlooking the sea. There are major attractions nearby as well which includes Aqualand, Slide and Splash and Zoomarine.
For golf lovers, both the outstanding Pestana Gramacho and Pinta 18 hole golf courses featuring the David Leadbetter Golf Academy are a 5 minute drive away only. The 9 hole Vale de Milho is also within easy reach. In fact, the region around Boa Nova is a golfers paradise.
As stated, there are numerous restaurants in the area and a local mini market for day to day needs. Main supermarkets can be found outside Carvoeiro and Portimao. There are numerous places of interest in the region which are worth while exploring.

A non refundable 25% deposit is required at time of booking, the full amount being due at least 6 weeks prior to arrival.
As we are not requesting a breakage/ damage deposit we would ask our guests to treat our possessions with care. In the unlikely event of you breaking or damaging an item we would appreciate recompense.

A fantastic holiday location!
I am just writing to say how much we all enjoyed our stay in your fabulous townhouse.Your house is so luxurious and spacious and had more than everything that we needed. It was simply brilliant!! We will definitely recommend it to family and friends.The complex is lovely and so beautifully maintained. We enjoyed the pool and the occasional meal at the bar especially on the last day as we had to be out by 10 am. Jeremy was so accommodating and we stayed by the pool until we needed to leave for the airport . We did some serious sun worshipping that day!!
We had a fantastic week lapping up the sun, exploring , reading, swimming and snorkelling , visiting a different beach every day using your excellent guide book. All the beaches were lovely but we especially liked Benigil and Marinha Beach . We really enjoyed a boat trip viewing the caves and although we didn't do it liked the idea of being taken by boat to our own private beach for a few hours!!! We did tend to go out for most of the day and made picnics with our buys from the supermarket.. It was great being able to use your freezer to freeze bottles of water and juice to use as freezer packs for our picnics We also found your beach umbrellas useful for our beach trips to ensure we had shade. When we returned we would have a dip in the pool and then in the evening we went to try out many of the restaurants and really enjoyed a meal in your favourite one on Canarios beach. It was very picturesque and the fish was delicious. We couldn't believe how huge the portion sizes are in Portugal's restaurants ! Bernards in Ferragudo was also very welcoming. Alice got a bit fed up with fish towards the end of the week and loved when we discovered the Italian restaurant "Donatos" in Sesmarias which was a very friendly little place and produced superb pizza and pasta.
It was great having a hire car once we got used to driving on the other side of the road!! There was so much to see close at hand. In the evenings we enjoyed exploring and had lovely walks along the maze of tiny streets in Ferragudo, explored Carviero etc and it was always lovely to drive back into Boa Nova and see that wonderful view with all the lights of Ferrugudo and Portomao in the distance.
So we would just like to say thank you for the use of your lovely house. We enjoyed our holiday so much.
Excellent holiday 10/10
We had a really fantastic time. The apartment is excellent, you are so lucky to have such an investment both for now and in the future. I've been trying to think of some constructive criticisms or useful tips, but to be honest, there is nothing I can add.
The apartment provided every convenience, I don't recall once saying "it would be good if they had this or that"
Jeremy was very helpful throughout and constantly checked on us to make sure we had all that we needed. We made good use of the pool and tennis courts. I guess we were lucky that it was very quiet and I suspect that it gets a little busier at the height of the season.
Your directions were great and I think the development is very well located. Once the Restaurant is finished it will be even better. We will certainly be recommending your apartment to all our friends and family, if that's OK with you and we both said, how nice it would be, if we could come again next year. We'll have to start saving now!!
We ate at Villa Medicci (very good) and Ferragood (we thought was excellent, recommended by the chap who runs the bar, so I would add to your helpful list of places to eat). Donnato's was good for take away pizza.
In summary - Excellent Holiday 10/10

A Brilliant Holiday
We arrived at Boa Nova and were greeted by Jeremy who showed us to our house and gave us a tour of the complex.
The house was spotless and looked brand new. The rooms (lounge, kitchen and both en-suite bedrooms) are all large and beautifully decorated.
We were very impressed by the presentation folder made up by the owners giving an overview of the area with lots of information about where to eat, taxi numbers, and things to do.
We hired a car, which works out cheaper than getting a taxi from the airport. It also helps for trips to the supermarket etc.
On arrival we went to the supermarket and stocked up on drinks, food for our couple of nights in and nibbles.
The living room has a TV with free view and a DVD player. There are even a few games, books and DVDs to use whilst there.
The pool area is gorgeous and the loungers are so comfy and being a bit of a sun queen this was great as I could lie there all day and not get uncomfortable.
There are loads of restaurants and bars in the surrounding area. Carvoeiro 'restaurant hill' is a short drive away or about 8 euros in a taxi. There is everything you need for a night out; good food, nice bars and a really good karaoke bar - there is something for everyone!
There are loads of beaches just a short drive away – and loads to do if you get fed up of sunbathing.
I had a brilliant holiday and will definitely be returning next year!
New Year Getaway
The property was, if anything, even more luxurious than the description provided by the owners. The 2 double bedrooms were generously proportioned and both had their own en-suites. The kitchen was large and very well equipped, I would have liked to have taken it home! The property and contents all still felt very new, clean and fresh.
There was a TV and DVD player.
The property is conveniently located, about 40 minutes drive from Faro Airport. We hired a car and felt that this was essential, to get around the Algarve, especially at this time of the year.
As we went in winter we did not use the pool, but did spend one afternoon soaking up the winter sun and reading books around the pool area, whilst wearing our fleeces!
We used the car most nights to go out for our evening meal, though one evening we walked to the closest restaurant - about 10 mins away. We enjoyed trying out the restaurants in Carvoeiro & whilst there were still plenty to choose from, a lot were closed for the winter months. We found a great little steak house, where you cook steaks to your liking on a hot stone. We also found a wonderful bakery, which served drinks and delicious home made bread and cakes.
Overall, we had a very relaxing holiday.
We would recommend this property. Whilst we would like to go back, we would choose a warmer time of the year for our next visit.
Holiday for All!
We have just returned fom Pam & Brian's villa and would like to thank them for an excellent holiday,The villa is furnished to a very high standard and slept 6 people with ease, The complex is in beautiful location and within a short drive or walk to local shops and restaurants. The pool is a good size and is very clean with ample sunbeds.
We founf the site managers Jane and Jeremy very helpful and a great source of information on the local attractions. I would highly reccomend this as a great holiday location & there is something to cater for all and finally for the golfers the local courses are a must.
