The signature trademark of the Villas architecture is its ability to accommodate a group of up to 18 people in privacy through its three flexible living areas, each having its own saltwater pool or Jacuzzi. All bedrooms have spectacular sea views which open out onto expansive wooden decks.
Sea and Rock provides a luxurious Villa-Hotel experience, which incorporates a Concierge service, Butler, breakfast and beverages, or as a self-catering villa incorporating daily housekeeping. This Hotel-Villa experience allows you relax and just enjoy your precious vacation time, rather than wasting your valuable time becoming familiar with the Villa and the surrounding area.
As the Villa has been designed for entertaining, Sea & Rock can also host your next function, wedding or celebration. We were selected as one of the Guess Jeans and Jameson’s re-launch venues, as well as hosting product launches, birthday celebrations and weddings. Our Villa manager will be able to assist you in any enquiries you may have.
To the Portuguese explorer Bartolomeu Dias in 1488 he may have rounded a ‘Cape of Storms’ occasioning a slick aspirational rebranding by his king as ‘The Cape of Good Hope’ but few would argue with Sir Francis Drake’s 1580 assertion that South Africa’s ‘Mother City’ is ‘’the most stately thing and the fairest cape’’ that he had seen ‘’in the whole circumference of the earth.’’
The descent approach to Cape Town Airport overflies much of the spine of mountains that stir the senses as Table Mountain comes in to view and culminates in a unique geography where two oceans clash in a peninsula landscape of unrivalled diversity of flora and variety of indigenous animals. From the famed Kirstenbosch’s Botanical Garden’s cyclad tree ferns, fynbos and king proteas to False Bay’s breaching great white sharks and breeding southern right whales and even the opportunity to swim with penguins at Boulders Beach, the only mainland colony outside Antarctica, Cape Town offers adventurous nature lovers unique and extraordinary sights.
The 'city bowl' as bordered by Devil's Peak, Table Mountain and Lion's Head leading down to the vibrant Victoria & Alfred waterfront harbour, the Atlantic Seaboard of idyllic enclaves of Llandudno, Clifton and Camps Bay beaches nestling under the National Park peaks of the Twelve Apostles mountain
range...and on to Cape Point from Camps Bay via the Chapman's Peak Drive meandering corniche; all have become recognisable Cape Town landmarks and must-see itinerary destinations.
As with Vancouver, Hong Kong and Rio, Cape Town boasts a dramatic scenery of mountains meeting natural harbours yet comparisons are odious while only Table Mountain offers hikers rewarding trails and the mysterious atmospheric transformation of tumbling cloud afforded by the mesmerising 'table cloth.' Views from the upper cable car station 1000 meter vantage point across the city are momentous as are those of full 360 degree panoramas from the neighbouring Lion's Head peak across Signal Hill to the full extent of the Twelve Apostles sandstone sentinel range overlooking Camps Bay. Paragliders coast the thermals from this lofty perch gliding on apparent thin air as they manoeuvre at leisure to float down lazily to the inviting beaches below.
Cape Town has some of the finest activities and experiences that a visitor will ever witness. As you make the pilgrimage to the world-famous ‘shark alley’ off Gansbaai (or False Bay) you may feel butterflies as to precisely what you’ve let yourself in for Any nervousness is soon dispelled by the sheer adrenaline rush as these magnificent creatures hove into view spectacularly around the boat; an unforgettable sight imprinted on the mind. If you are lucky, you may even witness a breaching shark rocketing completely out of the water seizing a Cape fur seal.
The prospect of swimming with penguins off Simon Town’s Boulders Beach is an equally unique Cape Town experience as here is the world’s only mainland bird colony outside the Antarctic. A similarly curious if altogether gentler experience, surreal even as the birds are known to covet beach towels and stray bucket and spades.
Venerable supersonic jets can provide you with an astounding G-force rush above Cape Town while helicopter flips over Table Mountain and the peninsula coastline landmarks on the way to the winelands are unforgettable. The sight of bathers and yachts far below on gold and cobalt sun-drenched beaches and mirror seas entice you down for a closer look. One way to really survey the scene and interact with the landscape is to ride the thermals down from Lion’s Head on a paraglider to land between Camps Bay and Clifton beaches. Riders surge around the head of the mountain as if suspended in thin air whilst manoevering down at their leisure in descending at their own pace to draw out the sheer joy of flight set against a picture-postcard setting.

Excellent hospitality
We went to Cape Town on a Corporate Team Building event and stayed at Sea and Rock Villa. The facilties was of the highest standard and the hospitality from the Villa staff was excellent. We held bbq's, functions and team building excersises in the Villa. The Villa was also convenient walking distance to the Camps Bay beach and easy accesible to Cape Town City Centre, Table Mountain and and Waterfront. We will definately return next year.
Wonderful experience
We stayed at Sea and Rock in March 2010 and what an experience!! The villa is absolutely wonderful, full on luxury, with everything you need for a perfect holiday. We have 2 small children age 2 and 4years and there was everything we needed for them and the safety was great! The staff friendly and so helpfull. The perfectly heated swimming pool was great for a lovely early eavening swim with the kids while watching the sunset over the sea... This Villa is beautifully decorated with a perfect location and well worth coming back to again and again...
Memorable Stay!
I stayed at Sea and Rock Villa for a holiday. This was an extremely wonderful and memorable stay, with great hospitality from the staff! They were very helpful and attentive. As for the Villa itself,it has some spectacular views, luxurious accommodation, offers safety and a 'home-feel. It's conveniently located for the Beach-Camps Bay and other Key Landmarks like Table Mountain. Amazing Sunset Views! I would highly recommend Sea and Rock!
40th Celebration
We had a number of friends with us from the UK to Sea & Rock for my 40th. The Villa was fantastic, with fabulous Sea Views, and it could even handle my 40th birthday party with 50 guests. We took the Villa Hotel package with butler (Max), full breakfasts and drinks, which made our stay hassle free as we did not have to learn how to work the house. The House Manager Gail did all she could to help us. The Heated Pool was just at the right temperature, and we spent most of our time at the Bar on the top level, where we could see whales while sitting on the bar stools. What was also nice was that the villa is new, so all of the appliances and furniture were in a great condition.
Fabulous!
I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Sea& Rock Villa last year and it was the ulitimate in luxury accommodation. The views are spectacular ( I mean, where else can you watch Whales from your bedroom terrace!) and the design and facilities at the villa are 'to die for'We included the use of the staff service (optional) and the this was of a high standard. Fabulous!!
World cup football
A group of us stayed the weekend of the 17th June at your cape town Sea and Rock villa. I just wanted you to know how well we were looked after by Gail and team be it the welcome, the breakfast, cleanliness, politeness of all. I stayed at the villa alone on the Sunday and Gail was kind enough to take me on a sightseeing tour around the bays and into Cape Town. I hope to come back some time and will also be recommending to others. A great trip, the only let down were the England Football team, we went to see the game against Algeria and they played very badly!
Unforgettable
I had my hen party at the Sea and Rock Villa and WHAT an experience!! Really unforgettable. I could accommodate all my girlfriends in awesomely decorated rooms and we had a blast with the friendly assistance of the fun loving Gail. She helped us with catering and last minute entertainment for the evening. And she spoilt us rotten with a breakfast spread suitable for royalty. We were all in awe of the gorgeous rooms and breathtaking sunset. Will I go back? Definitely, when ever I am in Cape Town I will visit Sea and Rock with the breathtaking views and helpful staff.
Fabulous villa
What a truly fabulous villa this is and was undoubtably the highlight of our trip to South Africa. The villa itself is just pure 5 star luxury accommodation with excellent friendly staff who can not do enough to help you. The view out over Camps Bay, up to Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles and round to Robben Island is just so spectacular we lost count of the number of photographs we took. Our favourite place each evening to enjoy the amazing sunsets was from the heated swimming pool, fantastic. The location is ideal with Camps Bay within walking distance and the Cape Town waterfront being a short drive away. We will definitely be returning to Sea and Rock and hopefully very soon.
Ultimate short stay
We had the ultimate short stay in this magnificent villa during April 2010.The villa is very well designed with breathtaking views over Camps Bay and the interior decorating is of a very high quality .The staff and accommodation was certainly the best we have experienced so far.Our stay was very comfortable, luxurious. We have a toddler and a baby and we had everything necessary to make this stay unforgettable in one of the most beautiful settings.I can say that this was 5 star rated throughout. We would defnitely go back to Sea and Rock soon!
