Perfect base for relaxing or activity holiday on hottest sunniest coast
Beach Villa next to banana fields with the Atlantic Ocean in front of it in the National Park of Madeira. A perfect base for a couple who want a relaxing holiday away from it all or a family or group who also want to be in the country for an activity holiday of coastal and Levada walks but, not far from everything.
The villa is reminiscent of an American beach house. It has three bedrooms. Two have private balconies with both ocean and mountain views. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom. The kitchen, dining area and lounge with a balcony the width of the Villa is spacious.
The whole villa is minimalist specifically well-designed by the owners for families and groups on holiday. All the fixtures and fittings are nearly new as the owners, their family and friends have only utilized the Villa for short periods in summer. The accommodation is bright and spacious and all windows have shutters. There is private parking and a traditional Portuguese barbecue.
Close to nature: still a center for fishing and agriculture with a new fishing harbor and many banana fields 'Paul' is now more famous for ‘the feel-good factor’ – peace and relaxation in the country on the hottest Madeiran coastline with the most sunshine. This means that all can relax, swim and walk in these sunnier and hotter climes all year round! Popular amongst walkers, fishermen and swimmers with several safe swimming areas and closeness to famous mountain and levada walk PR six and the 'Rabacal/twenty five fountains' PR nineteen walk. Attractions include White Sand Beaches next to Calheta Marina ten minutes drive, a rum factory Engenhos with a museum, Prazeres village with 17th century church, fruit and vegetable market and ‘Quinta Pedagogica’ - a free animal park, art gallery and cider house! Plus, there is the award-winning international art centre: ‘Casa das Mudas’ and UNESCO-protected Ancient Laurisilva Forest. Whale/dolphin-watching and big-game fishing boats operate from Calheta Marina.

The above prices are for 3 people sharing the accommodation. The villa sleeps 6 people.
There is a an additional €6 Euro per person per night for any extra persons sharing the accommodation.
Deposit: a 30% deposit must be paid within 5 days to secure the booking. The balance is due 6 weeks before check-in at the accommodation.
When a booking is made within less than 6 weeks of the check-in, the complete payment is required and it is non refundable.
Payment is in euros by a bank to bank transfer to a Portuguese account.
Communication of cancellation: if clients have to cancel, communication must be in writing and as soon as possible

Popular activities in & around the village are: levada forest walks. Fishing, swimming, snorkelling & surfing. Paul quite flat for Madeira is easy to walk around, roller-skate & cycle. The perfect getaway
My partner and I stayed at this beautiful property overlooking the sea
in the summer.
The location, views and surroundings were perfect for a relaxing getaway. Rooms were perfect and from our experience this property was the most modern in the area. There are a couple of friendly bars in the area which provide a perfect end to a busy day exploring.
We often travelled to Calheta beach in the day which was approximately 10 minutes drive. There is also a small supermarket in the area but we hardly needed it as everything needed is provided by "mobile supermarkets" throughout the day which pass directly outside the property.
We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay from the picturesque walks in the evening to the friendly local hospitality and would highly recommend this property.

Where do we start? This holiday home is absolutely breathtaking!
Words cannot express the awesome panaromic views from each room. The bathrooms, kitchen appear to be brand new – the house is just spotless throughout. The rooms are light and bright, decorated too a very high standard. We found the beds, furniture to be very comfortable indeed.
Sundowners on the veranda is a must. The views are just incredible! The locals are super friendly and most helpful. We would highly recommend this
Villa to any family or couple for the perfect getaway.

Great house, beautiful sunsets
We are a young couple from the Netherlands. At the first of septembre we arrived at the villa and stayed for one week.
Paul and Iva gave us a warm welcome and showed us around the property and gave us information about Madeira. The villa is big, modern and well equiped (sanitair, kitchen and entertainment). Paul do Mar is the location for you if you like rest, beatiful sunsets, swimming in the sea, snorkling and it is a good base to explore the island. Lots of levada walks nearby. In Paul do Mar there is a minimarket and a lovely coffeebar, where you can buy your bread in the morning and enjoy nice cheese- and chocolatecakes. We enjoyed our stay at the villa very much.
A car is strongly recommended, when you are staying at Paul do Mar.
We hope the next visitors will enjoy their stay and we recommend them to stay longer than a week. A week is simply to short to discover Madeira.
