The gardens are large and you can watch the sunset over the sea from the large decking area, with a glass of wine.
The patio outside the cottage is sheltered and is ideal for summer barbeques.
Swelle cottage is ideally located within short driving distance of Widemouth Bay, which, for the more energetic, can be walked to. The walks on the clifftops are mesmerising! The beaches are perfect for all ages with long sand expanses, rock pools, and a good surf. The large expanses of sandy beaches provide space for all such as surfers, body boarders, kite fliers, children rock pooling, dogs splashing, sea canoeing, and sun loungers. What a dream holiday!
Bude and the nearby area seem to enjoy a real micro climate with more sunshine days. Not only does it seem more sunny, but with its rustic rugged coastline and beautiful beaches and amazing surf, it is a place to be savoured.
The local area offers plenty to do, with the Lost gardens of Heligan, the Eden project, and The Milky way, to name but a few. There are the beaches, the moors, and wooded walks.
Poundstock is a little hamlet about five miles from Bude with its own tea rooms.
Just a short drive from Widemouth bay, it is famous for its surfing beaches and a great pub- to sit outside to scan the views and watch the sun set over the sea.
Bude has much to offer with outdoor pursuits activity centres, beaches, and places of historical interest. There are restaurants, pubs, cafes, and bistros. What more could you ask for?
There is also an annual Jazz festival with musicians from all over the world.
