Description
Church view, as its name suggests, is situated in the main square of Kilkhampton overlooking the Church. It has a porch to the front which is useful for storing wetsuits, boards etc. There is a small sitting room with an open fire, comfortable seating and a window seat overlooking the square. It has a pine floor and a small television.
There is a larger sitting room with sofas, easy chairs, a dresser and large recessed hearth with wood burning stove, traditional cornish slate floor and television. This leads into a large kitchen diner with big pine table seating 6/8 and a lovely bespoke fitted pine kitchen. A cloakroom leads off the kitchen with extra large corner shower.
The back door leads into a small courtyard with many flowering plants and a wooden bench. A shared driveway (not suitable for cars) leads up to a private enclosed garden with BBQ and garden furniture. Upstairs there are three bedrooms , a double, a twin, a smaller room with bunk beds,and a family bathroom with shower over.
North Cornwall has 60 miles of rugged coastline, wide sweeping sandy beaches, unchanged fishing villages with narrow streets and small harbours, moors and market towns, together with large towns with shops, restaurants and buzzing night life.
There is always something to do or see. The whole area is steeped in history and is the ideal place for a great family holiday.
Kilkhampton sits astride the A39 Atlantic Highway, following the line of the old Ridge Way from Bude to Bideford. It has a colourful history, dating back to the Bronze age, with several burial grounds dotted around the parish. There are several beaches within a few minutes drive, with Bude being only 4 miles distant.
Bude is a charming Victorian seaside resort, adjacent to fine sandy beaches and the South West Coastal Path. Bude and nearby beaches provide some of the finest surfing in the whole of England, with lifeguards covering most beaches during the summer months.
Bude has excellent facilities, including a heated swimming pool and the famous Bude Canal. There is excellent walking in the area in some of the most unspoilt rural areas in the South West.
