Description
Lime Tree Cottage is situated in the heart of St Peters. It's a charming mixture of Georgian and Victorian architecture, with a really homely feel. It is a perfect place for relaxation after a day at the beach. The house is near the attractive sites of Broadstairs, Ramsgate, Margate, Sandwich, Deal and Canterbury. There are off-street parking for up to three vehicles, a large kitchen/dinning area with all facilities for self-catering, a beautiful lounge area with entertainment hub, a sun room, a south-facing courtyard garden (ideal for summer evening barbeque), utility room, toilet room, 3 double bedrooms and bathroom with separate shower cubicle. There is also a washing line facility.
The cottage is just over a mile away from the lovely sandy Joss Bay surfing beach (4 min. drive). Viking Bay (main Broadstairs beach) is about 5 min drive away (can be reached on foot in 20 min.). There are 7 beautiful bays in Sunny Broadstairs. The Northforeland golf course is also accessible, as well as other established courses.
Distances from Kent International Airport and Ramsgate International Ferry Terminal are 5.5 miles and 3 miles, respectively. The Broadstairs train station is around half a mile away (10-12 min. walk). There are high-speed train services from London, slashing the journey time to only 1 hr and 22 mins. (direct to Broadstairs). The National Express St Peters coach stop, with direct services to London, is 2 min walk away.
St. Peters in Broadstairs hosts the historic Turner and Dickens walk, and the local church has one of the longest churchyards in England. There is a guided tour to this historic site. Broadstairs boasts of fine restaurants and pubs as well.
In the immediate vicinity of the cottage, there are several fast food options, a co-op supermarket, a pub, a flower shop, butchers and newsagents. Further down the road, a short drive away, there are excellent amenities at the Westwood Cross shopping centre, including supermarkets, retail chains, multiplex cinema, bingo and restaurant chains. Sunny Broadstairs is truly a fantastic holiday destination.
