Branqueira is ideally situated between Albufeira and Vilamoura. Albufeira being 5 minutes drive away with its beautiful beaches, also is known for its night-life in the new town which is aimed at the younger element and the old town with its traditional restaurants, bars and street entertainment. it is very pleasant to sit in the street cafes and watch the world go by in the lovely warm evening atmosphere.. There are many championship golf courses closeby and they also have clubs for hire if you don´t want to have the hassle of bringing yours... The Algarve also has many attractions there are plenty of water parks and several different day trips on offer, one of the best days out is to go to the mountain of Monchique and see how the Portuguese people live and eat in tiny restaurants and enjoy the local tipple.
In the evenings the Algarve has the Vilamora casino which has a nightly show and several other venues offering nightly entertainment.
The most famous beach is Fisherman's Beach and holds live bands through out the summer season and Christmas and new year.There is the famous zoo marine only minutes away with its interactive dolphins and water slides open from may to December open 7 days a week.
The village of Pera holds a sand festival each year and artists from all over the world attend designing sand sculptures.The town of Vilamoura is know for its dozen championship golf courses open all year and its marina.The marina is the largest in the Algarve with over a thousand boats moored there and daily boat trips for whale watching,fishing or just cruising the coastline.
Albufeira is originally a small fishing town is now a small city where one can find almost anything! The world famous Oura Strip offers an awesome choice of shops, restaurants and cosy bars. The old town Albufeira and fisherman's beach still gives a glimpse of the past with more traditional shops and restaurants. Around Albufeira you will find the Algarve shopping in Guia where you can shop till you drop. There also are water and theme parks where one can have a great family day out,most of the parks offer transport from Albufeira to the parks.
Branqueira/Olhos de Água is well catered with a variety of restaurants and bars to cater for every taste - 'Al Fresco' . Most facilities such as Supermarkets, Banks, a Post Office, Pharmacy and other shops are located within the area, everythintraditional Portuguese with the emphasis on fresh seafood including some exclusive beach side restaurants to dine g you need for a relaxing family holiday. Upstairs the two bedrooms both have terraces which overlook the beautiful Portuguese countryside whilst only being a few minutes drive from miles of sandy beaches. Car hire is the easiest option. Alternatively, if you do not want to drive from the airport, we can arrange an airport transfer and then have a car delivered to the house.
Faro is the nearest airport - 40km and the journey from the airport to the villa takes about 40 minutes. Many airlines fly to Faro e.g. Monarch, Easyjet, Ryanair, British Airways, Jet2, Flythomascook, Aer Lingus, Flybe, BMI, Flygloespan. Take a look at www.skyscanner.net.
