The intense finish in mouth and especially in our soul leaves toasted memories and red berries, an aftertaste between pepper and caramel.
This newly refurbished apartment boasts a stunning interior. The architect has done a superb job placing an inline kitchen in the corridor that connects the two orientations/sides of the house, but its aesthetic minimalism based on hidden appliances and a stone wall means it almost remains unnoticed. The bedrooms face onto a quiet street in the picturesque El Born neighborhood, yet to ensure a totally silent atmosphere the windows are made of antinoise glass. Comfort and avantgarde have not been spared in the main bedroom. A highly attractive space with designer furniture by Joan Lao and a shower cabin that is a gem. It is a double glass cabin with rain shower, whose rear side is a double-leaf melis wood door with its original wrought iron hinges and lock, over 100 years old, on which six coats of marine varnish were applied for total waterproofing. A "cabinet" type washbasin and a unique murano lamp, put the finishing touches on the suite.
Oak stripped in white and aged flooring, matching the frames of the double glazing doors and the exposed beams of the four meters high ceilings. In the second bedroom the art work is the original hydraulic mosaic floor and there is a second bathroom in which, the remains of a stone door, the entrance of the 17th century Palace on which this house was built, were uncovered when making the refurbishment. The bits of history this stone give us a peek into can be seen through the glass ceiling of the triangular tile truffled built-in shower of this post industrial bathroom, where a flat screen TV has been hung on the wall.
Dining table by Le Corbusier, a wine cellar, a widescreen LCD TV and a 20 m2 terrace, square the circle of this Vintage looking impeccable, where consistency of distribution and a smart base of Renaissance classicism, are the hands that have been dealt out and it has been a master hand.
