Eleshnitsa is located in Blagoevgrad district (South - West Bulgaria) in the western foot of the Rhodope Mountains, along the stream of Zlataritsa River. Town of Eleshnitsa, Razlog, BulgariaIt is nestling among hills 10km northeast of Dobrinishte. The village has existed since the Middle Ages. The most interesting landmark is the "St.Atanas" church, which was built in 1935.
The village of Eleshnitsa is no so popular tourist destination because in the past it was the site of Bulgaria`s largest uranium mine. The economy of the village is based upon several small enterprises for wood production and processing, as well as light industrial companies. There are many hot mineral water springs, which are used for hygienic and health needs.
