The Eagles Nest complex has many facilities such as a restaurant, shuttle bus to the gondola and Spa area which includes sauna, steam room, massage, solarium and hot tub.
Bansko is Bulgaria's most up and coming ski resort. It is surounded by the Pirin, Rila and the Rhodope mountains. The Pirin Mountain National Park is the largest protected site in Bulgaria and is on UNESCO's list of world heritage sites. The 70km of wide tree-lined pistes and modern ski lift system give a variety of skiing for all ability and age.

Directions
Various airlines all fly direct to Sofia from the U.K, including Easyjet, Wizz Air, British Airways, Bulgaria Air. Airline prices generally start from £60 with Easyjet. Usually the lowest prices are with Easyjet and the best flight times are with Easy Jet or British Airways from the UK.
The transfer from Sofia to Bansko is about 150 km and will take approx 2-2.5 hours.

Great Time
My partner & I stayed in this beautiful apartment for a week at the end of January 2010 and can’t find anything bad to say about it. The apartment was really big, modern and clean (cleaners came every day!). As it was only the two of us we were spoilt for room. After a day on the slopes it was nice to have a homely, spacious place to come back to and watch tv, if we didn’t fancy a night out. There was also loads of storage space within the apartment. Near the reception (which was manned all the time) was an area to store skis/ boards which was really handy too.
As for the location it was equally as impressive. The gondola was about 10 minutes walk away or you could get the free mini bus that picked you up and dropped you off at the door! (This only runs between certain hours though). The beautiful old town was only a few minutes walk away with gift shops, restaurants & pubs. If you don’t feel like a stroll into town and fancy a change from the local cuisine pop over to the Irish Bar, for some typical British pub grub – it’s only across the road from the apartment complex and they do a good breakfast too!
There’s nothing we could fault about our stay in this apartment. We plan on booking again for our next snowboarding holiday.
