The Demianitza is just a few minutes walk to the gondola, even in ski boots! It's also close to all the amenities of Bansko town. On the ground floor there is a restaurant, sauna, and ski lockers. The apartment is equipped for families or small groups.

The apartment is managed by English speaking representatives who have offices located nearby. On your arrival in Bansko they will meet you and arrange key handover and orientation, they are available 24hrs to help with any questions or any problems (however an out of office hours call fee may apply). Their normal hours are 8.00am-8pm: Guests arriving after 8pm or before 8:00am can be met , but this incurs a £10 call-out fee.

A weekly clean and a full clean at end of stay is included in the price. Our changeover day is normally Saturday but depending on other bookings we can be flexible on arrival days and lengths of stay, especially out of the main school holidays. We offer a 10% discount for stays longer than 14 days.

There is an active ski base with lift and challenging slopes, restaurants, hotels and attractions. The mineral springs in the village bring lots of visitors interested in recreation tourism.

Bansko also offers ski and snowboard schools, with well-equipped cabins using the leading world brands for winter sports – both for kids and adults. Visitors can always rely on qualified multi-lingual instructors for training and advices in English, German, Russian or Greek. You can study individually or in groups.

Bansko has over 130 architectural landmarks 7 of which have national importance. Museums and houses pronounced as cultural monuments are opened for visitors daily showing off the Bulgarian traditions, history and culture with their wide range of ancient manuscripts, carvings, original icons and costumes, objects of everyday life, ethnographic materials etc.

Starting with the first day of the year Bansko is coloured with kukers ( ) and all kinds of new and old celebrations, ending in late autmn. Since 3 decades Bansko celebrates local traditions.

But Bansko is much more than a winter resort. From 17 -24th May starts the summer tourist season. Visitors can enjoy ethnographic and culinary exhibitions, fine art galleries, nights dedicated to the humor, music, dances, customs.

In May you can also delight the festival “Mezhdu tri planini”, featuring more than 300 dancing and singing groups for authentic folklore of the region. Meanwhile there’s an exposition of the local handcrafts, and the festival “Pirin Folk” where hundreds of artists are performing their talents.

Traditionally in August the summer Jazz Festival is exposed in Bansko. Popular Bulgarian and foreign musicians are taking part in it. The opened stage provokes interest not only in tourists but local people also.

Bansko is also famous for its unique food, which is served everywhere in the area. The homemade delicacies fascinate everyone with their exotic and taste, and deliver a true culinary delight.

Everywhere in the area you can try typical Bulgarian dishes in traditional restaurants called “mehana” with authentic athmosphere. Modern clubs and bars for exciting night-life or relax in luxurious spa centres are on site for those of you who like to stick with the modern wave.

Bansko is a magical symbiosis of history, traditions and culture. All that a visitor reveals here is – old-time architecture, heroic history, authentic folklore, eternal culture, centuries - kept traditions and customs, specific food, sense of humour – a symbol of Bulgarianness.

Bansko covers the most beautiful and majestic part of Pirin Mountain next to the colourful gorge Momina Klisura, Razlog valley and part of the Rhodopies. The summer there is short and cool, but the winter is long, mild and snowy.

It is only 150km away from the capital Sofia, 150km from Plovdiv and 60km from Blagoevgrad.

The nature is the biggest treasure of Bansko. Pirin mountain with its rare tree species is pronounced as a National park and it’s also under the auspices of UNESCO.

Pirin is noted for its rich flora and fauna. Much of the area is forested, with the best conifer woods in Bulgaria, holding important populations of the Balkan endemic species Macedonian Pine, Bosnian Pine and Bulgarian Fir. Animals include the Wolf and the Brown Bear.
