BRAND NEW, One bed apartment , sleeps 4, built 3 years ago, NEVER BEEN USED. Situated in old part of town, 5 mins walk from town centre, 20 mins walk to coach station, 30 mins walk to the Gondola. 10 minutes walk to local supermarket. 20 second walk to local shops.
The property is comfortably furnished, with bedlinen, plates, cutlery supplied. As the property has never been used it is in pristine condition and make an ideal base to explore what Bansko has to offer.
Bansko is located 160km south of Sofia in south-western Bulgaria at the foothills of the Pirin Mountain which peaks at 2746m above sea level. Considered by many to be Bulgaria's number one ski resort, it received a multi-million euro investment in 2003 to enable it to have the most modern ski facilities in the country.

recommended The old town of Bansko at 925m above sea level and beautifully encircled by the Pirin, Rila and Rhodope ranges has not been disturbed by the construction of the new hotels and complexes which are under development to the south and west. Dominated by The Sveta Toitsa (Holy Trinity) Church built in 1835, the town still has a local population which provide the charm and atmosphere of 'old Bulgaria'. Almost every house has its own tavern (called a "Mehana"), which offers typical Bulgarian cuisine and good selection of Bulgarian wines as well as traditional live music and folklore programs. |

Bansko is a 3 hour drive from sofia airport. You can either catch a taxi all the way there for approx 80 Euro ( may be more) or you can catch a coach from the central bus station in sofia, they leave at set times so check on the internet for the times. You can buy a ticket from the box office, **WARNING** there are many there for the many coaches going everywhere in europe and the writing is in Bulgarian, or find out the stop it stops at from the internet and you can buy a ticket from the driver but be prepared for a language problem if you cannot speak Bulgarian or it can be arranged for the managing agents to meet you at the airport and drive you, party up to 4 to Bansko for 190.00 Lev each way Approx £80 or party up to 6 for 220 lev Approx £110
They will be able to answer all your questions or YOU CAN GET THERE BY TRAIN BUT THIS IS NOT ADVISABLE. It is a ride that is slow with many connections, complicated and much much longer than travelling by road and i have no idea how to get to Bansko
