Kewnston is a former farm lying to the southern edge of the village of Minishant. The outbuildings have been developed by the current owners to provide new living accommodation, with the 250 years old, nine apartment farm house having been converted into two holiday cottages which have a secure and secluded courtyard. Culzean Castle and estate, the jewel in the crown of the Scottish National Trust properties is just five miles away with acres of beautiful parklands, woodland walks, activities, and sandy beaches looking over the Isle of Arran. The Burns Centre in Alloway (three miles away) has recently been taken over by the NT and is set to become another major attraction. Kewnston is situated centrally between the two famous Open Championship golf courses of Turnberry and Troon. Prestwick and Glasgow airports are within 45 minutes drive. Ferries sail from several ports to Ireland, the islands of Arran and Cumbrae. For the angler, there are many fresh water fisheries within a few miles radius of Kewnston.
