Description

Touring Ireland? - Search our other property, Property No 12534 "The Courtyard" in the Mountains of Mourne, County Down. Now back to Achill - Revelation is a secluded architect designed home, beside Nobel Laureate Heinrich Böll's cottage, and opposite the historic Missionary Settlement. Revelation has panoramic views of sunset behind Slievemore Mountain, and Dugort's Blue Flag Beach. Location - Achill Island on the Atlantic Coast of Ireland is joined to the mainland by a bridge. Achill is remarkable for it's high concentration of mountains, beaches, bogland, cliffs and seascape in an area of 15 x 12 miles. Revelation is at Dugort, one of Five, (yes 5!) blue flag beaches on Achill, and Crohaugn mountain's sea cliffs are the highest in Western Europe at 1850 feet, nearly 5 times the height of the cliffs of Moher in Co Clare.

Activities - The Island has a number of good restaurants, plenty of historic sights, lots of walking and cycling routes, surf and windsurf lessons, sea fishing and boats trips on offer.

Beautiful location, cosy, modern facilities, well equipped. private drive (although quite steep so not for the frail!) and huge grounds.
No need for a TV because of the views.
If it rains, surf, read, paint or eat.
When it's sunny Achill comes alive.
Great beach and coffee shop nearby.

Perfect for a relaxing break
Great, spacious, comfortable house, with everthing we needed. Fabulous views. Perfect base for touring Achill, many quiet blue flag beaches, places to fish and good choice of restaurants. We are regular visitors to Ireland and always come prepared to chill and relax - this is the perfect place to do it!

Relaxing, beautiful beaches, amazing scenery!
The house was all you needed for a relaxing, fun family holiday. It is very private and the children loved the space and exploring the grounds. Great for pets too. Very safe and enclosed for them. A wonderful selection of very clean beaches nearby. I would highly recommend 'Keem Beach' and the local one only a short walk from the house. We had a fantastic time. We will definitely be back.

Very nice time
Enjoyed genuinely stunning landscape, perfect beaches and walks or surf by day, movies in front of fire by night. House is very comfortable and is in great location to explore the island. Close also to coffee shops/places to eat. The privacy and tranquility of the island seems to make time stand still.
